How much snow do you have?
it's been an odd fall here. we've had days that the temperatures were way above normal. in fact, this coming monday the high is supposed to get to 58 degrees. currently it's 22 degrees, with a feels like temp of 5 degrees. we have snow, but it's not enough that it's covering the tops of blades of grass on the lawns. how about where you are? how much snow do you have?

I had 2 pieces of bologna, a cheese string, some veggie straws (these  ) and a buttercream chocolate square (it's basically a brownie with buttercream on top). That was my lunch. I was going to have a bologna sandwich on a bun but when I went to open the bag, it broke and the whole bag of buns fell on the floor.

While hubby was putting together IKEA end tables for our bedroom, I rewarded him with mini apple pies - I had found a great recipe for flaky crust using sour cream after I cut in the butter. Reminded me of the crust for pot pies. Delicious!

I also made slow cooker butternut squash soup with quinoa.

5 second rule in my house (as long as food is for me and not someone else!), as long as I'm fast enough picking it up and hasn't left half of itself stuck to the floor or visa versa then it's good to eat.

A cup of tea and some vanilla halva.

i use that 5 second rule in my home too! i clean every 4th day, including vacuuming, and steam clean the floors every 8th day. and i never wear "outdoors" shoes while i'm inside my home -- reduces dirt, grass, debris from ending up on my floors. so i feel my floors are about as clean as floors can get.

Normally I wouldn't care too much, but the floors were kind of dirty and my dog has been shedding a lot so they had fur on them. The floors have all been cleaned now but it was too late for the buns.

LoL, I think that would qualify as having half the 'floor' stuck to it.
Yuck!   I think I'd have to give up on the buns just like you.  :-(

More halva here but at least it's now all gone.

Lunch - 1/2 cup sauerkraut, 1 small tin smoked oysters, thin pre-sliced, slice of smoked gouda.  Now drinking some plain green tea.

two hard boiled eggs, toast with butter and homemade blueberry jam, juice, and milk -- my breakfast. lunch should be coming up soon enough. it's been a busy enough day here already.

Dinner tonight was a large salad of romaine, celery, scallion with Jalapeno Ranch dressing. 2 veal bratwurst, a serving of red cabbage, and 2 slices (these are extremely thin) of a german hazelnut bread with butter.

I'm ashamed to admit that I just ate the scraps of raw pie dough I made.
Oh, it was GOOD!  I used Land O'Lakes butter, which gave it a sweet taste.  I had to use unbleached flour, which I've never used before. I accidentally picked it up, instead of white flour.  The cooked crust looks amazing, the best I've ever made, so maybe I'll continue using it for pie crusts. In case you're wondering, I baked a deep-dish apple pie. I made the filling at 5 a.m., thinking I'd be going to work later, but the snow stopped that idea, so I decided to finish the pie today, instead of tomorrow.
