Everybody has such sweet kitties! I want to scratch all their ears!
And here's our best buddies. These were all from yesterday. First one is a bit blurry because I was afraid to get too close and ruin the moment! They're actually both sharing the perch again right now as I type this, except Kermit's laying in the front and Magnus is at the back.

Nap time! All day, every day. Finally got pictures of the cuddling.

67 <-- Courtesy of a keyboard walking Kermit who just jumped down from the perch to me on the couch. Couldn't bear to delete his contribution.

Finally have pictures of little Kermit to share! I just went and screencapped them from my instagram account I have for them, haha! Can't find my cord to plug in my phone to get my pictures from there. I'm sure I hid it somewhere from the cats but now I can't find it either.

This is just him, looking a bit crusty. This was right after we brought him home and I was steaming him in the bathroom since he was still getting over a URI. Barely looks like him now, he's gotten so fluffy!

I just got a new phone and when I was emptying the old one I found these:

Reading with Anyon:

Eleni, taking in the last sunshine of the year!

And this was when I just got my new, quite high bookcase. They couldn't climb on there themselves, but I put them there and they loved being able to keep their eyes on everything.

My beautiful tabbies. <3

We adopted our new cat today from the local pound! A little back story. He was wondering downtown and someone brought him to my husband's office (for some weird reason) and literally dropped him in his lap. We brought him home for a few days trying everything to find the owners. With no luck we called the pound and they took him. They called a week later to say not one phone call had been received regarding him and if we'd like to adopt him! We couldn't say no! My girls love him he is so friendly and patient with them (the 2 year old walks around holding his tail like it's a leash and lays practically on him while he's eating with no complaints from him!) His first few hours and he was already sleeping away on the couch enjoying the sun and snuggles from us. We know nothing about him so interested to see what the vet says this week regarding his age! I'm a firm believer that he chose us and the way it all happened was meant to be!
My 5 year old named him John lol

@Mamalk   I have to agree from looking at your photos:  John looks like he adores your kids and they him.  You'd think he'd been in your home his whole life.  How sad he was found wandering like that, but what a blessing for you all that he is now welcomed in to your home.  Thank you for taking him in.

I'm sure I'm not alone in being interested to know how you get along with the first vet visit and to see they can throw any more light on John's life so far.  Fingers crossed he is healthy and well, and they are able to give you a good estimate on his age.

Mamalk, I trust the vet better than the pound for figuring out age.  When we adopted Sam last year, animal control said that he was only 12 weeks.  I said "no way- he's older than that".  He had some very obvious "boy parts"
They also said we should wait to get him fixed.  So I go to the vet 2 days later (he had worms- yay) and the vet said he was closer to 15 weeks, and go ahead and schedule an operation for him ASAP.

I'm interested in what the vet says as well! I pray to god he's healthy for the most part and it doesn't cost us an arm and a leg haha
All my friends kept saying to be prepared he will hide for the first while and you may not see him much.... He hasn't had yet and has made himself at home! He spent his first night sleeping the whole night in my daughters bed

Honestly!   He looks like he's in charge of your home and lived there for years he's so relaxed.  It must be destiny that you were all brought together.   How wonderful that he has chosen to bond so closely with your daughter.
It's crazy! He honestly acts like he's been here for years! Now if only we could get the 2 year old to settle down a bit, she's constantly in his litter box and eating his food... Typical toddler behaviour lol

Oh dear, playing at being a cat perhaps....  hope your 2 year old knows not to use the litter like the cat does
(and will accept thorough hand washing afterwards) !   I think I noticed the food bowl interest in another photo post.
Too cute on all fours together at the bowls....   The 'joys' of parenting.

Haha yes I think she thinks she's a kitty too! She will just lay flat on her stomach and watch him eat pretending she's a cat. She thinks the litter box is a sand box I think, and hilarious that is has a door and he goes in and out like peek a boo! I'm sure the novelty of a new cat will wear off eventually... I hope... LOL

LoL, as long as she doesn't want to paint her face like a tabby every day and decides she only likes crawling I am sure she will settle down.  It is lovely that she is so fascinated by him, just less desirable she gets in to his food and litter.

Neighbours of mine were in my apartment the other day and their little 14 month old daughter caught sight of Mouse in the hall and she instantly wanted down to play with him. He ran off in to my bedroom and she toddled after him.  I though he was hiding but no: mum and dad followed her to check all was OK and burst out laughing because the 'kids' were playing peek a boo with Mouse on one side of my bed and little girl on the other, taking turns popping heads up over the bed side...  They had only met once before and it was a few months back.   Amazing how they instantly understood each other.

Mamalk, John is so sweet! He sounds so much like Magnus personality-wise, he's just so mellow and patient with everyone and everything. He adapted to everything right away too and was walking around like he owned the place within seconds of getting out of his carrier. It's so sad that such a nice cat like your John was found just wandering around like that, but it sure is lucky that he was brought into your family's life! And I can tell from the pictures that he feels the exact same way!

Sometimes I get sad thinking what if his owners are looking for him... He must have been raised around kids to not even flinch at the shrieks and screams coming from them?! But my husband said we literally did everything we could over a week and a half span to find his owners!
Everyone kept telling me be prepared he might run off and hide for the first while, might be scared etc... Not the case at all! We set up a room in the sun room for him with his litter box food water and bed and stayed in there for a while thinking We would slowly introduce him to the 3,000 sq ft house lol but nope he was all settled sleeping and lounging around like King of the house! We feel so honoured to have such a great temperament cat! He even sleeps in the back sun room all night without a word from him, thankfully, because none of us want to wake up with a cat on our head lol so I'm so lucky he's so easy going!!
