Some neutered male cats do like to 'adopt' kittens and play with them or look after them. It is instinct for cats to pick up kittens by the scruff of the neck - it actually calms the kittens so they don't struggle. As long as he is just moving them (especially away from trouble, like a fight, I don't think you need to worry. My Wellington disciplines the other cats sometimes by putting a paw on them if they are fighting - it is all part of teaching manners.

Ahhh okay good. Yes my 5 year old cat is neutered, I see this behavior only when the kittens are playing none stop, all o can think of is that he gets annoyed? Lol

Besides that they all groom each other, I'm so glad my cat accepted them so quick.

Well this morning is getting more weird..... Now my cat makes weird noises when he is trying to grab the kittens, also looks like he doesn't even want them to play at all, because as soon as they start to make any noise he goes and grabs them by their neck and brings one by one to the room.. I'm very confused and I hope he isn't trying to kill them...

I'm sure he's not trying to kill them. He's probably not even hurting them, otherwise you would have noticed it already. When my two play with eachother and things get a little rough, they will let each other know, quite vocally, when the other one is hurting them.

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, those little friends of yours wouldn't just let things happen if they were in pain or something.

Don't worry about it too much. Remember, they are also still getting used to eachother and they are put in new "roles" so to speak.

Last night one of the kittens was crying and when I went to see what was going on, my adult cat had him pinned down by the neck so I went and spanked the my adult cat... I feel like crap now, my boy doesn't deserve to get spanked. Ugh

I bet they'll work it out.  Things were a little bit touchy between the kitten I adopted in January and her "big brother", and he was very rough with her sometimes too.  But within a few weeks they became absolutely inseparable, and now I'm not sure what one would do without the other.  They still play rough sometimes, and there is sometimes some crying, but never actually hurt each other.  Just keep an eye on them as much as you can, and as long as no one's getting hurt you should be good.  When things get a little bit rougher than I'd like, I just yell "Hey!" or "No!" and they break it up.

Your vet is right that they need a lot of food, but I am kind of appaled that he would advise you to feed them dry. Better is to feed them multiple times a day. And feed them wet. Try to get your adult cat on wet as well. Do it slowly, like we said. Add a little more wet to his food every day or two. Also, since your adult doesn't like wet food, he won't eat all the food that is supposed to be for your kittens!

You can't over feed a kitten, I've heard! (And I've found it to be true.) I do recommend wet food if you can feed it. Especially since your babies are male, wet food helps flush out the system which might become infected or even blocked. Ultimately you should do what you can. I feed only wet food.

Glad your landlord saw the error. Sometimes it is hard to remember who has gotten the most recent lease, etc. I'm glad it worked out.

Please don't spank Bombi. He might be teaching manners, showing the kitten who's "boss", or keeping the kitten from a dangerous activity. Watch them interact, as long as he is not being aggressive with the kittens frequently you should let him do his thing. He speaks kitten, you don't! My oldest cat will break up "play" if she senses that it is getting too rough. One of my younger cats will sometimes get too rambunctious and she will have to make him calm down. Bombi might be disciplining rough behavior.

Just observe them and remember that cats act and play differently from humans!
