We rescued a stray kitten about a month ago, I live with my mother in law and fiance and for some reason the kitten will only cuddle with me. He plays with everyone, and I am the one who disciplines him so I thought it was odd that he chooses me to snuggle up with. If anyone else tries to cuddle with him he starts playing and runs away.

Odd kitten behavior

A little further on this.
Punkin, who my wife picked out at the shelter, has a definite preference for me. He wants attention from me, follows me around the house, greets me when I come in the door, follows me into the bathroom.
Sterling, who I picked out at the shelter, is definitely Dottie's cat. He sleeps next to her at night. He hangs out in her office.
Ella and Flambe, on the other hand, seem to be pretty egalitarian in their people preferences. Whoever is nearest at the moment is their favorite!
