So for the past month on and off my cats have been throwing up. I took them to the vet and they told me to change their food so I did. They are still throwing up. Problem is I come home to the throwup , i never actually see it in person.

I cannot pin point what it might be.

They are on science diet wet food and iams dry food. I took away the dry food yesterday all day and i came home to vomit.

My two theories is A) the food ios not agreeing with them   B) the heat is causing them to throw up (we have to fans in our home but it might not be enough)

help.

The food you are feeding them is full of grains which many cats as obligate carnivores can not digest grains properly (see www.catinfo.org for information on feline nutrition). Here is a helpful video on the reasons cats vomit and treatment options:

My own cat had an issue with vomiting and what worked for him was switching him to a grain free novel protein wet (he eats nature's variety foods). I also found the supplements from vitality science to be helpful (http://www.vitalityscience.com). He had a hairball issue so shaving him also really helped.

Thank you. So nature's variety cat food might be the best? I was also wondering about hairballs maybe thats it?

Nature's variety worked for my cat because he would eat it and the duck and lamb flavours have not caused him any issues.

I think a homemade or raw diet is probably the best for cats with GI issues because you can control all the ingredients but the nature's variety line is good but there are others too that might work.

Is there hair in the vomit? I remember you have a persian and there hair can often cause issues so getting him shaved may be a good idea in the future. Also regularly brush both to try to limit the amount of hair ingested and raw egg yolk or an egg lecithin supplements works to help them digest the hair.
