Magnus being bad:

Magnus loves to hide in the cupboard...

Buddha is about to get it....

When I took down the shower curtains to replace them, Magnus discovered they make a great hangout....

Magnus claims the drum kit bag as his own...

Magnus also likes to hide under the living room rug, and then attack unwary feet

All my shipping boxes get claimed.....

Aw... love the pics of Artemis and the hedgehog.

I know two cats named Artemis. Must be a popular name for cats :) (and goddesses)

Aw, thank you! The hedgepig and Artie were very good friends.

I love that your cat is named Magnus! My dad had a huge black cat with double paws named Magnus (he just recently passed) and he was quite a character. Your Magnus looks like a doll too! And so poofy!

yes! another Magnus cat! People always seem surprised we named our cat Magnus. (We originally thought he was going to be very large when we adopted him and I know Magnus means Great One... now he's full grown and about 13 lbs so not gigantic compared to some cats, but he's still our "great one"). When you say your cat Magnus had double paws do you mean he was polydactyl? or did he literally have four front paws? Sorry he passed :(  You'll have to post a pic.

He was polydactyl so his paws were HUGE. He was quite a BRUTE too at about 18 pounds, but a total sweetheart. My dad was going for something Scottish sounding so he picked Magnus. He was named Cupcake when they adopted him and Dad said that wasn't "manly enough" for such a big kitty.

My family picks weird pet names. Their other cat is little tabby name Guinevere.

I love that 13 pounds isn't as big as you thought he'd get! Artemis is a whole 5 pounds so 13 pounds seems pretty darn big!

hehe! Magnus is of Latin origin but it's seen a lot in Scotland and Ireland. I was flipping through my phone looking for a good Magnus picture but I don't have many. I'll have my dad send me a better picture of him. He was always getting into places that he shouldn't. In the meantime, this is a picture of Magnus and Guin.

I just love the photos on this thread.  It would be impossible to pick even my top 5 favorites!

but I love Archer and the tissues, Artemis and the hedgehog,  Aya repairing the sewing machine,  the naughty nimble Abys ,  and of course I love Gideon the lilac point old style Siamese who reminds me so much of my goofy lilac point boy Chatri.   and in fact all Gideon's antics look like they could have been incidents from my house ( except for the Persian presence) .    LOL  Gideon's photos would be a good advance warning to anyone thinking of getting a Siamese  or Oriental.

Aside from the naughtiness factor , there are some very beautiful cats in this thread.

and I think Magnus is a great name - and a handsome cat!

I seldom seem to get the naughty photos since I am too busy either stopping them or laughing

But here are a couple photos from when  my blue point Thai ( Siamese) had recently come to live here,  with my beloved old  scary-smart Siamese mix Louis Quatorze adopted from Siamese Rescue back in 1999.   I think Sammy had only been out of his quarantine room for a day when these were taken, and  Louis  started contributing to the deliquency of the teenage meezer.   Not that Sammy needed much encouragement.

Flickr link     (  Flickr wants you to give the link, but I want to make the actual photos show in the post.  hopefully if you do both it is OK)

Christy is convinced that my pile of afghan squares is her newest bed.

She also likes to bat, chew, and generally tangle up the yarn while I'm working on it. The moving yarn is irresistible to her!

Christy looks like "Thanks for the new bed, mom!  You could have made it a little bigger but if I scrunch myself up it is just right. "

That's it!  You need another one for increased health benefits!    And just think of the cute "bad bad kitty" photo opportunities that little slinky will provide!

I would love a little slinky of my own. You know the kind--the ones that are active and curious and almost smarter than you? That kind of cat. Mine are pretty clever, but they don't drive me near as crazy as a cat could. But my apartment has no room for a third cat... which is a pity, since an active cat of that sort might actually give Tiny a workout. As it is, I'm his wrestle buddy, and my hands have the accidental scratches to show for it! No, he never bites down or scratches for real, but I don't have fur to protect me, so it's kind of inevitable... I tried for ages to get him interested in kickaroo-type toys, but he just needs a living wrestle buddy and Christy is too timid to do it... *sigh*... Anyway, yes. I think another, active, curious sort of cat would be a great match for him. But I live in a two-room apartment, which already holds me and two cats, sooo... yeah, it's a cat, not a sardine, and I don't think I could squeeze another in!
