Why does kitty insist on brushing the sides of his face?

  Now that he's been eating about 90% Raw, hopefully his teeth will get whiter!
Thank you!  That is very helpful.  He-he.  Maybe if I do this and act as if I am brushing him like I normally do he will be just fine with it!  Then again he could have a slight objection, but I think things will work out just fine!

My cat Dutchess loves to feel the cat brush with the prickly bristles along the side if her face & teeth. She also runs it hard like her gums are itching. She doesn't even care about her body being brushed.

My cat Buddy does this all the time. I brush him for a little bit then he instantly tries to grab the brush himself and try to brush his face/mouth/gums. Which never works out for him since he can't grip the brush well enough to do it.

Also, every time I get out of the shower my cat Buddy ALWAYS rubs his face on my feet. I guess he is trying to clean himself?

There are scent glands there. They like to make things smell like them to mark it as theirs, including humans. Lol.
