I may sneak a peak here and there on Friday, but I won't be getting up at 4AM or 1AM or whatever silly time coverage starts here. I'm not that interested, mainly because I'm not the one marrying William.
Haha, no, just kidding. Though I did have a poster of him on my bedroom wall about 15 years ago...

My BF who is from England (W. Yorkshire) has been going on about it for months, but mostly going on about how Wills better be the next King and not Charles (and this usually comes out after a few beers..
).

He claims he won't be up mega early to watch it, and he may not be, but I'm sure he will be keeping tabs on it while he's at work, and he'll probably have the TV on Friday night too. I know his mom will be watching it all day long in England, we were talking about it a bit when his parents were here visiting a few weeks ago. She can't wait for it. She's really glad that there will be some new blood in the family, a bit of modern youth to go along with changing times.

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
^lmao Erica......I'm on the same side as your bf. I prefer William over Charles also.

Poor Chaz has been overloaded with wedding stuff I've been recording at night to watch while he's at work.

I don't know if I'll watch it or not.
I can't see myself getting up at 3 in the morning, as I'm a night owl and usually don't go to bed till after 1 in the morning. I can't see myself hauling my butt out of bed after only an hour or so of sleep.
I'll probably just watch the highlights on the news.

I do remember watching Diana & Charles wedding (of course, I was a lot younger back then, and didn't need as much beauty rest
). I just loved her. It's so tragic that she died so young. I remember bawling my eyes out after seeing the sad news on TV.

thats funny because the other night my dh was watching reruns of Charles and Dianas wedding. I didn't say anything but was wondering what the heck he was doing....hardly a guy thing.

So I asked him and he said he was watching for the horses! When that part was over, the channel changed!

I've been watching all of the wedding shows too! Mostly the biographies and such. I don't particularly care for the shows that speculate on her dress, the food and cake etc.

Kate is a very pretty girl, and she is going to make a gorgeous bride!

Sensible guy, your dh!!!! I've watched coronations over and over again to see the horses, heck with whomever was getting crowned; same with weddings. The change in the horses from the earliest filmed stuff to now is very interesting.

To each his own I guess.

Same here. Although the people in my office are planning a royal wedding breakfast and I will be taking part because I like to eat

I work 12 hour night shifts on Thursday and Friday nights so I won't be watching. The only thing I'm really interested in is her dress and I will have plenty of chances to see that afterward. I heard the first knockoff of Diana's dress came out 5 hours after the wedding. I didn't even particularly care for her dress, I thought Fergie's was much nicer.

If I had a DVR I would!! At first I didn't care; but lately I'm getting caught up in it. Even pulled out my Cinderella type movies!

My problem is that I usually prefer to go to bed about 1 or 2 in the morning...and I'm guessing that is about when everything should start coming on here. I'm definitely interested to see all the details. There is something so fascinating about the historic formality of it all. It's not often we get to see a girl's "princess day" when she is actually becoming a princess!

(I do however think it's ridiculous that Lifetime has already had a movie out about their romance...)

I wouldn't watch any random people around here get married...so why would I watch royalty that I don't know get married? (Feels creepy) Unless I am invited, I'm not interested.

Power to 'em though.

There was a recipe in this mornings paper for the chocolate biscuit cake that will be served. Its looks pretty tasty. I'll have to see if World Market carries the tea cakes the recipe calls for otherwise I'll call my sis to see if she can find them.

I can't wait to watch the Royal Wedding! I will be DVR'ing it and watching it when I feel like it that day, and fast-forwarding through whatever is boring.

I remember as a little girl, I was so delighted to find out that Prince Charles and Princess Diana had a son, because I decided at that moment that I would marry him and become a princess. My mother squashed that idea though by telling me that I was too old for him. (She decided not to get into the whole issue of me being a doubly unlikely choice given my American citizenship.)

William and Kate seem like an adorable couple, and I love weddings. Especially very fancy weddings!

I'll probably make an effort to watch it. If only because I like things that harken back to a more colorful time of historical reverence.

My neighbours are also talking about having a street party like most of the country so l hope it happens
I started work for a UK company in 1973. I cannot now remember who was gettting married then but it made this marriage insignificant in comparison. There was nothing else on the telly and nothing else in the papers. I remember one woman asking me if I didn't wish we had all the pomp and circumstance involved and I ended up getting caught up into it!
