Does anyone have experience with cats that enjoy water? My cat is odd to say the least, but seems to like water and I'm not sure how to go about introducing him to water deep enough he could actually swim...life jacket? What kind or brand is recommended by those of you that have used them?
2 months later, Gizmo has made a full recovery with no set backs, got him neutered 2 weeks ago and all shots are done! He is amazing and we live him dearly!
Last night was scary, I could barely get him to open his eyes and his breathing was so shallow that I kept messing with his feet and ears every hour or so just to get him to move, to get some kind of response, so that I knew he was still alive. This morning he was awake and eating! So that's a...
Its been a heck of week with this kitten of mine! Took him to the vet last Wednesday because he stopped eating, drinking, and playing...vet said he has worms and gave him dewormer along with sending him home with amoxicillin and prednisone. By Friday morning, little man seemed to be going up...
Yep, that's him, Gizmo! It's amazing how quickly he became part of our family considering the countless other kittens I've fostered and had no problem letting go to good homes. Most people consider tabby cats to be ordinary in appearance, I've definitely had the opportunity to keep more unique...
Took the little guy to the vet today and his blood work came back ok, negative on feline leukemia too...turns out he's got a tummy full of worms! He has a slight fever so the vet sent him home with antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds along with deworming him. So thankful it's something that...
He hasn't had shots that I know of, we found him outside on a hot day and brought him in about a week and a half ago. I had planned on getting his shots this week but will wait until he sees the vet first, see what they recommend
Will do! I can't think of or see anything he could have gotten in to, but kittens are sneaky sometimes! If he isn't doing better by tomorrow morning, the vet is where we will be by afternoon!
Is there a reason he needs wet food? Most cats do well on dry food. My cats seem to love the chunks/shredded meat with gravy canned foods (as a treat) over the pate canned food. I usually just give dry food and will occasionally spoil them with something extra like the canned stuff for Holidays.
I have fostered lots of baby kittens, bottle fed, raised, and found homes for them. I decided to keep one recently that I guessed to be about 3 months old, I've had him for a week and half, super loving, playful, would wake me up early in the morning by laying on my head and purring...last night...
