    Help :'(

You're welcome. The symptoms seem to fit... Symptoms and Types The main symptom of phlebitis is a localized inflammation, which can be seen due to warmth, swelling, pain, hardened vessels, or a redness of the skin known as erythema. Help :'(

This might help?! "The main cause of phlebitis is intravenous (IV) catheter use. Poor catheter quality or care may lead to bacterial colonization of a catheter, which can then infect the cat. Catheters are often used during surgery, or for the treatment of trauma victims." Inflammation of the...

    Help :'(

Thank you! It was a very dark time for me. Hoping for the best possible outcome for Mollison. Sounds like you're on the right track.

    Help :'(

So sorry you and Mollison are going through this. I would lean more towards taking her to the ER. I think amputation is quite drastic and quite possibly unnecessary - she might not have cancer either. I lost two 7 year old cats due to a vet's misdiagnosis this year. Wishing you both good luck!

    Long Spay Incision (graphic image)

An associate vet preformed the spay surgery. According to their website, he graduated veterinarian college in 2000 and has been with this practice since 2015. I also thought the incision would be neater and, of course, much smaller.

    Long Spay Incision (graphic image)

I just brought my 5 month old kitten home this morning from being spayed yesterday. I've had cats spayed in the past but none of them ever had an incision this long....it's at least 3 inches. Has anyone ever had this happen?

I think my cat is dying.

We went through this in March with our cat Kori. He was 15 years old or older. He had moderate kidney disease but had developed a respiratory infection. He was treated, it got better, then it got worse and was treated again with stronger antibiotics. Because of the stronger antibiotics he quit...

Cats eyes dilated all the time

My cat is 14 and I noticed his eyes were really dilated and he started bumbling into things once in a while. He might of had this problem for a while but long of the short, he has hypertension and was put on blood pressure medication. He too also had big pupils but one night I noticed it was...

Kitten has thrown up twice in 2 days

It is also possible he might have worms even if he was treated for them before. You might want to take a stool sample to the vet.
