Hi, please, if your cat has had the PU surgery to stop repeated blockages, did it work and how was recovery?
spartacus is one week post op. Doing ok. Popped his ecollar off once yesterday and got at the stiches but i took him in and the vet said he didn’t do much damage but the incision sight...
Thanks for your message. I just spoke to the vet on call and she said we have to wait until his inflammation goes down (his penis is inflamed) before we know if it’s a problem or not, i guess because he is at least producing pee they aren’t too concerned yet? They also told me he had a weird...
Hey Everyone! I'm back. I have a few questions -
Spartacus keeps going to the box and trying to pee. He has dribbles and small amounts that are coming out. He just goes so often that sometimes it's hard to tell. The vet told me that as long as it adds up to a normal amount it should be...
Thanks again, everybody! He is back home and doing well. He's on a bunch of meds, and of course, he was prescribed the Hills science urinary food - I might get some of their cans to start, and then hopefully I can get him off that using your tips.
What do vets generally say about d-mannose? I...
Hi,
My male cat, Spartacus, age 5, had a blockage yesterday and is at the hospital until at least Saturday morning. It most likely was due to a UTI and swelling. They are going to analyze the bacteria in hopes we can figure out what caused it and where it came from. No crystals or stones. He...
My cat Spartacus always wants to be near my baby. He doesn’t touch my baby, just occasionally sniffs him. He gets so close while I breastfeed too. He will stay in the same room as the baby even if someone else is with my son. My son is 3months.
any thoughts on Spartacus’s behavior?
I'm going to be away this weekend and still want my cats to be able to have wet food. (I will have a sitter drop by on Saturday to check, but I'll still need to leave some timed meals for them before I get back).
If I freeze a can of wet food and then put it in a timed feeder that has an...
Oh no, i thought they were fine because the calculators seemed to say so and a year ago my vet said one was getting too fat and needed to lose a pound because he has asthma :( Another reason im hesitating to overfeed but I’ll definitely think about this because I don’t want them being hungry...
They are about 4 years old. 10lbs. Indoor cats but very playful. They are begging before the afternoon and night meals. I like your idea about changing up the dry and wet meals. I might try that.
If I check the calories for their portions it's:
Morning (Dry 1/4 cup): 102.5 Calories
Afternoon...
