    Cat stress over-grooming

He has plenty of space to get away from our son. There is even a gated off room, which our son is not allowed, but the gate can’t stop the cats.

    Cat stress over-grooming

A little backstory might be helpful. I have two cats one is a boy who is 5 years old and one is a girl who is 4 years old. The boy does not like almost anyone except for my wife and I. The girl likes everyone. He is definitely the alpha cat. My wife and I have a son who will be 2 years old next...

My 2 cats play and 1 gets too rough

I have 2 cats. The girl is 3 and the boy is 4. They are very chill cats. The boy is very affectionate with me, but stays away from many others especially my and my wife’s 16 month old boy. The girl loves people and likes to play more, but isn’t a huge player. I don’t know if all of that was...

    Automatic litter box recommendations

I was thinking about that, but it would be crossing right in front of a doorway not to mention there is a wall it would have to wrap around.

    Automatic litter box recommendations

Thank you for the feedback. I’ve had them for years and they are still young 5 and 4 so I’m not worried about any major health issues, but it’s a good idea.

    Automatic litter box recommendations

I have been thinking about buying an automatic litter box for my 2 cats who are an American Short Hair and other Russian Blue Mix. The problem is I need one that is battery powered because the litter box is nowhere near an outlet. I read battery powered ones exist, but I haven’t found any. Any...

    Advice with cats and infant

Thank you. We don’t allow them in our room. My wife doesn’t like them on the bed because they get fur all over the bed. The nursery is the same room as our younger cat lived for the first week or 2 as we were trying to slowly introduce them, but that was around 1.5 years ago.

    Advice with cats and infant

I will start with a general layout of the house and sorry for the length. I really appreciate the help. My wife is due very soon and we have 2 cats. Our house has 4 floors. Their litter boxes are on the 1st and tree and food on 2nd. The master bedroom and nursery are on the 3rd and a rec room on...

    Not a significant problem…just question

Thanks for the help. It’s like she has no spatial awareness. The other day she jumped on top of some boxes. I held the boxes steady so she wouldn’t fall, but then she started rolling on them so I put my hands out ready to catch her if she falls. She doesn’t seem to have a particular place she...

    Not a significant problem…just question

One of my 2 cats likes to roll around on counters. I don’t mind it except she frequently gets very close to the edge and there has been 1 or 2 times where she has kind of plopped off and landed more on her belly than feet. Since seeing that I keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn’t fall off...

Wife is pregnant cat meows in the morning

Each day they get breakfast at 7:30am that includes Greenies, at around 1:30pm they get just Greenies, at 6:30pm they get dinner without Greenies, then at around 10pm they get only Greenies. I follow the directions on the Greenies label (6 pieces 3x/day for each cat). Both cats are around their...

Wife is pregnant cat meows in the morning

I used to give her attention at night, but night time issues have mostly stopped. I give them Greenies at 10pm as an evening snack then go to bed. It’s mostly in the morning when she wakes us.
