Is this the same kitty who had a litter in May? Are you able to keep her 100% inside now? She should be eating unlimited wet and dry kitten food so she can build up nutrients.
Would you like help finding a low cost spay/neuter clinic in your area for after these kittens are born?
One additional thing to think about is that leaving cats intact and allowing breeding can actually cause medical issues. Heat cycles can lead to pyometria, and can increase the risk of reproductive cancers. Neutering also obviously removes the risk of testicular cancer. I know you care about...
I think mega esophagus is a good guess! Kitten lady has a video about caring for one of her kittens with the condition on YouTube. Have you tried holding her somewhat upright after eating?
If you can keep them inside until the spay, it would really be best. Even if they don’t like it! They could get pregnant at any time now, unfortunately.
Kittens do great with spaying/neutering at 8 weeks. They bounce back so quickly! It's great that you're making sure it's done before they go to their new homes.
I know from your other thread that these girls are newly rescued by you. Have they been fixed and fully vaccinated already? If not, it would really be best to keep them in for now, even if they protest!
I’m so sorry for those losses! That’s a lot to deal with.
Are you able to keep Muka 100% inside and away from intact males? If you let us know where you’re located (closest city and state) we can help you to find a low cost spay/neuter clinic in your area. Mom can be done 2 months after she...
Glad to hear the kittens are healthy! It sounds like mom is adjusting.
Are you able to keep her inside and 100% away from intact males? If you give us the nearest city and your state we can help you to find a low cost spay clinic near you. Mom can be booked for 2 months from now.
Wow! Big litter!
Are you able to keep mom 100% inside and away from intact males until she is spayed? She can get pregnant again at any time, even within a week of delivery.
Unfortunately, you can’t reliably keep track of her heats. Cats can have silent heats, and a male could know that she is in heat well before you do. It really would be best if you could keep her in, just until the spay.
