Just in case someone stumbles across this forum with the same issue as me, I just wanted to give a quick update. Unfortunately, the cat tree did nothing to deter my cat from sleeping on the kitchen table (both cats like it though, so it's not a waste!). However, as some of you suggested, I...
WOW! I haven’t been on this site I’m a few days, and I have so many helpful responses!
I decided to rearrange/get rid of some furniture in our dining room area and was able to make juuuust enough room for a 4ft cat tree with 2 beds, a hiding spot and multiple cat scratchers. I don’t know yet if...
Thank you for your suggestions. I'm not sure a covering would work with my situation. It's starting to sound like I just need to remember to push the chairs in. As you said, not much can be done about it.
Yes, they have 2 cat trees - 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. The only floor that doesn't have one is the floor with the kitchen/living room because it's basically just 1 room, and there isn't room for a cat tree there.
I don't particularly want a clear tablecloth cover...I think they're a little...
Luckily, she doesn't do it all the time! In fact, she only does it when we're not around, so I don't think it has anything to do with being around us. I think she just likes being elevated, and the tablecloth must be comfortable haha
All of the wall space is occupied by either cabinets or windows, so there unfortunately isn't room to do this. Even if there was, there wouldn't be anywhere for her to gain access to the shelf if we put one in. Thanks for the creative suggestion though :)
Hello! It's been a while! I'm here looking for suggestions for an issue I'm having with my cat (7F).
One of my cats has recently gotten into the bad habit of laying on our kitchen table. I don't think she's ever done it before (not to my knowledge anyway), so this is a relatively new habit. I...
Let’s hope cleaning them works because I just bought these litter boxes last year. She’s been using them all this time with no problem, and they weren’t cheap. I went with the breeze system.
Exactly. The litter box will be clean and she still does it. I think I need to take them out back and give them a good rinse off/mop the floors. Hopefully that will help. Thank you for validating my concerns!
I've been on this site before for my cat's inappropriate litter box behavior. Over the years, she's had everything from medical issues, to behavioral issues, that have caused her to urinate outside the litter box. After her most recent incident, which was probably about a year ago by now, I...
