I’ve been following this thread too off and on! Sometimes I’m not always notified either.
I’m curious to know why you question this approch for treatment? If you have info or experience with it, I’d like to know! I’m not personally familiar with these drugs, but I’ve read up on it a lot, and...
I have the same issue, and been trying to fix this rescue cat for over a year now. It’s gotten to the point where he doesn’t eat much and ultrasounds revealed lots of intestinal inflammation on top of all the grooming, biting, scratching, sneezing and shedding. Ugh. He’s on prednisolone now, it...
So far a good improvement, 40% probably I would say, not perfect though. At this point I think he needs the inflammation to be knocked out, faster than what diet a lone will do. So I think I am going to go with it. Luckily he is not constipated anymore since I removed the Fancy Feast. I wonder...
I think I am going to go ahead with the short term steroids to knock out the inflammation.. then we will see how he does. Thank-you for that. I hope it doesn't come to needing specialist, but I really appreciate that.
He seems 30-40% better making the change to homecooked now at least. I think I will go ahead with the steroids to knock the inflammation out, and see how he does. The vet is optimistic, said that years of eating food he was allergic could be the cause. So, we are hopeful, but I am preparing...

He has mild chronic pancreatitis.
Severe thickening of the small intestinal wall. It could be IBD or SCL.
And cysts...
Yeah. Just a couple weeks ago my guy threw up a hairball, ate 20mins later and projectile vomited his food. He never does that ever usually, but he did eat too soon. My guy has suspect IBD, constipated version, and bloat. He needs to rest awhile before eating food! Hairballs make them feel...
We moved last week and we are so proud of our cat. He has done so well, he adapted instantly. Louging comfortably, seemed super content; purring and snuggly, ate and used a litter box straight away, and has been for days.
Well, last night he’s decided to stop using his litter box and adamantly...
Hi all!
We are moving in May, and I was wondering if anyone has tips to reduce the stress for my cat through all of it. He is a rescue from this neighborhood, and I feel bad we are taking him away from it. I want to be as prepared as possible.
I have started slowly bringing out moving boxes...
