The Big Breeds (and Mixes): Post 'em Here!

seriously, the neighbour's dachshund is afraid of going outside in its own garden if it sees Sly. This dachshund is not generally afraid of cats. Another neighbour's chickens are also terrified :P He once bit my heel so hard he drew blood because I very gently tried to block his path with my...

    Steak Tartare!

Gandalf was begging while I was doing food prep for beef stew. So I cut off a lean piece of beef, chopped it finely, and served it with a pasteurised raw egg yolk on top. Never has a plate been licked so clean :D

    Maine Coon?

my parents have a Maine Coon mix (Maine Coon mother and unknown father) and your cat definitely resembles him. 4 Kilos at 6 months also point in that direction. Sylvester eventually clocked in at a very lean 8 kilos :)

Question Of The Day, Sunday, September 10, 2017

Gandalf really loves olive oil of all things. I'm afraid it will give him diarrhea so I don't give him any, but he does manage to jump on the kitchen counter and lick the occasional plate whenever I've had salad for lunch or dinner.

How Did Your Cat Choose You?

thanks! He's just a big kitten from last year and had no idea how to take care of himself. He was scared of me initially, but now he sleeps next to my pillow every night. At first I thought he was a girl because he was such a long limbed delicate little thing (when we became better friends I...

How Did Your Cat Choose You?

Back in early July I returned from holiday to discover that my neighbors had been evicted. After a couple of days, I discovered that they had left their cat behind to fend for himself. He was really skinny was hanging out by the garbage bins trying to find some food and sat outside their door...

    Do You Tip Service People?

I live in Denmark where we don't really have a tipping culture, so generally I don't. I have done it on the rare occasion though when someone has gone beyond the call of duty to provide a service for me. Like once when I had a locksmith come out on a Saturday night because I had locked myself...

    Post your sleeping beauties!!!

autumn has arrived with a vengeance and Gandalf is not impressed. The lazy bastard has been sleeping all day only interrupted by a food break, a bathroom break, and I quick trip to the door to see if it was still raining (it was).

    New, Accidental, Cat Owner Here!

thanks! He's really the sweetest, easiest cat one can imagine. Good to the furniture, smart, quiet, well behaved, playful, super affectionate, not a fussy eater, and will let you pet him everywhere as if he was a dog. I have no idea how anyone could leave a cat like him behind. He is really...
