Hi all. Thank you for all the thoughts! He has stopped making the noise while walking, but he still makes the noise when he leaves and comes back to the room I'm in. I definitely think those are a "are you still here/where are you noise?" since he stops when I tell him I'm still here. I guess my...
So, brief rundown. Sparrow is blind. I adopted him in late August. He was a stray before this living outside my neighbor’s house.
He has never been very vocal. He purrs when I pet him and he’s into it. About a month ago he started doing this thing where if he left my main floor when he came...
Indoor Hunting Feeder: Cat Food Dispenser | Doc & Phoebe’s Cat Co.
I put half of my cats kibble in a mouse that he has to actively attack to get food out of it. This could help both your kitten and adult cat get kibble without your adult cat putting on weight.
Hi! My Sparrow is 100% blind. When I brought him home, I kept him in a small hallway and bathroom with his litter-box until I was confident he would use it. (He was a stray but potentially feral.) He took to it immediately, so after about 4-days I opened up the door to my study. I coaxed him in...
If you ever need something to help hold items down because of curious cats, I've found museum putty to be amazing. It is what museums use to secure their priceless breakables in case of earthquakes or bumpy patrons.
My cat loves these two:

I couldn't figure out how to upload the video any other way. Anyways, this is my blind buddy Sparrow. I've had him for 1-month and he has really come out of his shell!! I love him so much already <3

I love the scent idea! His favorite toy is actually a super tiny mouse that he looses if he bats at it to hard. Do you know of any particular brands?

Oh man. I’ve been there. Just a week and a half-ago I had a meltdown and posted on here while crying. (I’m Crying. I’m So Stressed About My New Cat. I Think I’m Failing At Adopting.)
I will say it’s been almost two weeks since I brought my Sparrow home and he’s gotten better, but he...
Hello All.
I posted about week and a half-ago when I had a massive meltdown about my newly adopted blind cat. Things have gotten slightly better with him, but I still worry I’m not a great cat owner. I’ve never owned a cat, so starting with a blind one may not have been wise. But he’s mine so...

I wanted to thank all for talking me
@rubysmama
I can't say for sure, but I think he was dumped. He isn't mean and he took to the litter box very easily. He actually was very loving last night and tolerant of me this morning lol

The Humane Society actually had an ophthalmologist come examine him. She is pretty confident he is 100% blind, but she believes it was due to a herpes flareup from the FIV. The vet that did the neuter and the regular vet at the HS both agreed with the ophthalmologist. It is...
Thank you all for the support and advice. I won’t give up on him. I’m just so used to my friends cats and dogs that always run to me. I put a worn shirt in with him this morning.
He was no longer in the tub and had found the treats I laid around for him to “hunt” during the night. He also made...
