ah, I see. they are all inside cats but it's not hairballs. the Vet said it's most likely a URI. I just get nervous because one seems to be coughing up phlegm and it sounds so horrible and I feel terrible for my little guy. now he is hiding in the closet and does not want to be bothered.

also they dont have any eye discharge or runny nose. its just a cough like if they are trying to get a hair ball out but never do...and they sneeze.

Hello, I have a 3 year old boy who I have had since he was a kitten. He sometimes hacks up like he has a hairball and then never actually gets one out. it comes and goes...but the other day he started to hack and then sneeze almost as if he was trying to get it out. he has no other symptoms...

UPDATE!!! Zeke actually came off his cat tree and got onto the group at her level and just watched her play. he did still hiss but its progress!!
