The boys have been hanging round together a lot lately. I mean they were close before but at the moment they’re never not following each other round, grooming or cuddling up together!
We used to have a brown cat that my mum originally recused from the neighbour when we were little. She said he was always thin and looking a bit worse for wear and had spoken to the neighbours about it a few times and they said it’s their cat she should mind her businesss and it was just because...
Yes seen the vet and no obvious signs health wise flagging up unfortunately, vet said he seems to be healthy. His wee and poo are as normal also.
interaction with the other cats is as usual, they all cuddle up, they groom him (have been extra helpful with cleaning places he can’t reach with...
Thank you for the info on your dog, raw is something I have considered as my aunt feeds her dogs raw but we’re both not keen on handling raw meat so it would really be a stretch to do for us as a family. We don’t have raw meat in the house except beef.
It is something I should look into though...
Thank you!
He’s a year and a half. He has seen the vet, they’re unsure what the issue is as health wise (minus skin issue) he’s coming back as fine! He’s happily eating, wee and poo also normal so completely baffled here
Not sure if this should go under cat behaviour or cat health, as it’s kind of both.
We have 4 cats, one of the cats has had a constant ongoing issue with skin irritation, for over a year. We have no idea what it is, he’s been on antibiotics, steroids, changed foods multiple times and he’s had a...
Adding a post to this to follow along, as have exactly the same issue with one of my cats! Only one of the 4 that has issues, tried multiple different brands of wet food and dry food, some of which very expensive high quality, our usual isn’t the cheapest option to begin with anyway but no luck...
Had the same with our two that we kept, they nursed for months on end and she just let them! They were well into eating solid food and I did think it was just a comfort thing and one day she would shove them off. I started to almost give up thinking she wouldn’t and then she suddenly just started...
I’m in the UK and whilst my vet practice does send out reminders for annual vaccinations the actual vet I see for all 4 of mine says it isn’t necessary. Mine are indoors however so that could be a reason.
Rabies is rare over here and I know a lot of other pet owners that don’t yearly vaccinate...
I do get their initial vaccinations done as babies but then don’t have boosters done after that. I would say it’s probably best to get the initial ones done and then you can decide from then on if you want the annual boosters or not like I do :)
