Kitkat is 5 years old. In the last month or so he has started pooping outside the litter box. We have 1 litter box upstairs and 2 downstairs. We got another cat about 8 months ago but they get along well even if they don't love each other. I switched to a different litter shortly before this...
It's very normal cat behavior. Yeti, my newest cat, comes in as soon as my husband gets up for work at 5am. He cries in my face for a couple minutes, I'm guessing to tattle on my older cat who doesn't like him much, then settles in by my legs for an hour till I'm ready to get up and give the...
I don't think my older cat would do well with moving food dishes. And if we just move Yeti's, Kitkat's will still be out and therefore tipped, lol.
I'm going to try separating the food and water and also getting a fountain. If the fountain works, I'll stop putting water in the feeders...
He is quite pleased with himself, lol. We have pretty limited areas to keep food but maybe I will make one dish just dry food and one water. Ordered a fountain today, thanks for that tip (pun intended haha). We do feed wet food on small glass plates but he does not tip those. Just the ones with...
Hi all. About 3 months ago we got Yeti, former mouser turned VERY spoiled indoor cat. Everything is going amazing for the most part. He gets along relatively well with our resident cat, if not best friends yet.
The issue is, about a month ago he started knocking the food and water dishes over...
Update:
We are making headway. Kitkat does not like to play with yeti still, but has mostly accepted his fate as a big brother. Yeti is an amazing addition and has no intention of ever going outside again. We are so happy it has all worked out!! 🥰
Ps- ignore the bowl on my teen's bed. I have...
Thank you so much for this! It helps to know I'm not the only one who feels guilty! Kitkat sleeps for sure, it's his fave activity besides eating lol.
Yeti is slowly learning kitkat doesn't want to play with him. Kind of sad but hopeful that without as many sneak attacs, kitkat will spend a...
I'm back, mostly looking for reassurance. Logically, because no actual fighting, everyone eating well, using litter boxes, etc, everything seems well.
But kitkat, my original resident cat, just doesn't love having yeti in his house. I feel guilt for rocking his world. He still comes out for...
Hi there, I'm not an expert but recently added a new cat to my household as well. My resident cat, kitkat acts the same as yours. Normal behavior but literally wants nothing to do with the new cat, yeti. Unfortunately, yeti is very rambunctious and just wants to play. Kitkat will sit in a safe...
Thank you, that is helpful! Yep, he does have it on his back legs as well. And he sure is he sweetheart! Hard to believe a month ago he was an outdoor mouser. 🥰
My newest guy, yeti, seems like someone used leftover scraps to make him. I didn't notice his little splotch under his chin until after we had him a couple days. I was always told Calicos are 99% female, but my buddy certainly is tri colored. Obviously it doesn't matter either way, I'm just curious.
I wish I could take credit. It's all Yeti lol. He's got the sweetest, goofy personality. So far, the only thing the 2 cats do together without squabbling is beg for food, but I'll take it. And when I say squabble, I mean kitkat getting annoyed, hissing and yeti laying down and giving "who me?"...
