I Feel Terrible But I'm Getting Frustrated :(

Well I can't really get a good look, I don't think I see any discharge or mites but he had furry ears and doesn't like me looking into them soooo not totally sure haha. Hmmmm, I guess that's a fair point, maybe it's just nervous and not sure about upstairs yet as opposed to being shy. He does...

I Feel Terrible But I'm Getting Frustrated :(

He's starting licking some more spots and biting at them as well, enough to make his fur visablely wet...I'll give the vet a call and make a trip and see what they say. Hopefully it's just something like that, allergies that will go away or something! Thanks for the input! :)

I Feel Terrible But I'm Getting Frustrated :(

I'm probably going to get him to the vet Thursday or Friday. Head shaking and ear scratching today and he's starting to heavily lick and bite a bit at a few spots near his back legs. Went downstairs this morning and he had a wet spot on his fur, yesterday it was there as well but he had rolled...

I Feel Terrible But I'm Getting Frustrated :(

Hey there, This might end up being a long post, but I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong and looking for some advice to giving all the background! New Cat Hiding Spots

I've been using treats as rewards as well as petting, is it okay to try to get him to go up a few stairs and reward with a treat or just let him do it on his own? He explores A LOT at night haha, not sure if he's just much more confident then or if that's just when he's awake more. Well my...

    New Cat Hiding Spots

Recently I would talk to him and put my hand out around a foot away in a fist (I read they don't like fingers outstretched) until he came to me and headbutted my hand. Yesterday was the first day he came out on his own...of course it was when I was moving a bag so it scared him :\ lol. Today was...

    New Cat Hiding Spots

Okay, I'll leave his hiding spot there. He is currently downstairs (finished comfortable basement) and I usually go down to play with him and pet him at different times during the day. A few days ago I opened the door and the past few nights he's been exploring upstairs but has never been up...

    New Cat Hiding Spots

Hey all, I adopted a cat about 2 weeks ago now, he's very shy but I've been working with him a lot and he's getting much more used to me, playing. pets, headbutts, etc. Over the first few days he hid in a box (which he did at the shelter) and was fine with being pet when he was there. The next...
