Is this normal? My cat with fleas and flea allergy dermatitis won't use the litterbox

They ran all the tests and besides the miliary dermatitis and the ear infection, he was given a clean bill of health. They believe it's tied to his stress and anxiety behavioral problems. Seeking their professional opinion now on how to move forward, because we've tried a lot to manage and deal...

Help! My cat with anxiety issues won't use the litterbox. I'm at my wits end.

Thank you both for replying. I've definitely been reevaluating everything, and have tried both things. He's currently at the vet for another check up and evaluation, just to be sure there's not some other underlying issue that we've been missing. We've been living like this ever since I've had...

Is this normal? My cat with fleas and flea allergy dermatitis won't use the litterbox

One of my cats (3 year old, neutered male) has a history of stress and anxiety behavior related issues. We haven't had any problems in a long time though, until he recently came home from the vet with fleas. He's been lethargic and uses the bathroom all over the house (he hasn't used the...

    Is this cat vomit?

Sometimes mine will spit back up (almost in that consistency) their meal if they ate too fast or are trying to cough out a hairball. I'd keep an eye on him to be sure he was otherwise behaving normally, but wouldn't worry if it wasn't something that was reoccurring.

I Think She Has a Runny Nose....

Runny nose and sneezing are typically the sign of an upper respiratory infection in my experience with my two cats. I might go ahead and take her a little earlier to the vet, and they can at least help nip it in the bud. A little medicine goes a long way for kitty colds, and I wouldn't want to...

Help! My cat with anxiety issues won't use the litterbox. I'm at my wits end.

Bear (3 years old, neutered male) has had stress and anxiety related behavioral problems ever since I've had him (he's been with me for about a year and a half). Whenever we're not on a regular schedule or things change, he goes a little haywire and pees and poops on the bed, the couch, or other...

Help! Sick Cat - Hairball Situation

Update: Boots passed away 7/23/15 - after being sick for a 5 weeks in total. He was 8 years old. He will be missed. Our loss will take time to heal, but I find comfort in knowing I did everything I could for my "little man." I wanted to share this photo of Boots, and ask that you all...

Help! Sick Cat - Hairball Situation

After a couple more visits to the vet clinic and multiple tests, Boots has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. He is spending his second night at the vet tonight and receiving an IV to lower his enzyme levels and help him stay hydrated. Please keep Boots, Socks, and I in your...

Bubbles Normal? Drinkwell Original Fountain Bowl

Now that I'm thinking about it, it reminded me or carbonation in appearance. And with a charcoal filter, that makes sense. Especially if it's been sitting in a box on a shelf for awhile. I'll rinse it out again tonight and maybe pick up a few extra filters to have on hand.

Bubbles Normal? Drinkwell Original Fountain Bowl

I took it apart and rinsed it before setting it up. This evening, I'll probably unplug it and re-rinse just to be safe - since I'm now at work and work all day. I'll try to take a picture of what I mean and post it too, just so I'm not getting lost in translation. I read about foam, but no one...

Bubbles Normal? Drinkwell Original Fountain Bowl

This is my first ever pet fountain, so I wanted to be sure.. Yesterday I purchased and set up the drinkwell original pet fountain for my two cats, Boots and Socks. Boots has been sick, and seems to be going toward running water, so it looked like a good time to introduce them to a fountain...

    Lactulose and Impacted Bowel Recovery

Yes, I totally agree. It could be signs of other things. My nerves are definitely a little more handled - I feel better knowing that it's something that we can treat and knowing that I'm doing what I can to help him get better. He hasn't vomited except for one time since being home, besides...

    Lactulose and Impacted Bowel Recovery

They were raised on 9Lives Indoor Complete dry food. I ended up taking him back to the vet for a recheck. She determined that it was a toothache that may have caused the whole thing - his gums were bleeding a bit, he was drooling, etc. She gave him a shot of antibiotics and anti inflammatory...
