    My tragic month

I am so sad for you. You were faced with a demolition that you could not stop. What was wrong with the landlord, did he not know there were cats? So upsetting. It is not as though you did something wrong. The problem was that you were helpless. Sometimes we are, despite our best efforts...

I don't know how to fix this...

So I have Yuki, who is three and MIttens who is 13 - and Binx, the new member, who is 2. We got Binx partly because Yuki (male, neutered) was going after Mittens (neutered Female); this started shortly after we got Yuki, when he was about 5 months old. I hoped he would outgrow this, but he did...

    Damn, damn, damn hairballs!

In the past I have administered egg yolk lecithin. I do not recall it helping my other cat but I dont know with Mittens, might be worth a try.

Catlax does not work for Mittens. It is a laxatone type product. She gets mostly canned food and a little dry food about 9PM . There are different theories about dry food, so I am light handed - but I think it also provides some fiber for her.

Cat ate part of lily plant

Lilies are poisonous for cats and should not be in the house. A friend brought me some once and my cat ate some, and vomited. I brought him to the vet school where he got fluids, and yes, even after vomiting the lily plant, the toxins can continue to impact the kidneys. It is good you took...

    Damn, damn, damn hairballs!

Hi, cat parents. My 14 year old long haired girl has chronic hairballs. She has had a many a work up, including ultrasounds, and they show nothing. She currently takes 1/4 tsp miralax, proviable, and 1/8 tsp psyllium...and still throws hairballs. No she does not otherwise vomit. Please...

    Best water for cats?

There are probably many posts about this question...but what is the best water for cats? I myself drink Core water but that would be pricey to give to my cats. I have been giving them distilled water in the belief - probably mistaken - that it would reduce the possibiity of stones or urinary...

    Ear question

Hello. Today my cat Binx started holding his ear slightly out to the side. He is not tilting his head and seems otherwise himself; no balance or appetite issues. Earlier today I noticed him scratching the ear a bit. He will not let me near it to look at it. Does this warrant a trip to the vet?

    Peeing behavior..

Hi, cat parents. I have cat who is probably just over a year old. He is in very good health. But. I notice that if I leave anything wet on the floor - bath mat, wet towel - he will pee on it. I have not had him to the vet because I doubt he is ill, his spirits are good, is using his litter...
