Actually no.... Michigan State alum here...!

So my sister just posted this on Facebook.... My niece is getting married in Boston in two weeks, and this past weekend was her shower at my sister's place... Just as everyone is sitting in a circle, and my niece is unwrapping all the gifts, their cat strolls into the middle of the gift circle...

Over the past 2-3 months, Miss Tigger has taken to jumping into bed with us sometime between 1130pm and 2am......and then she starts licking me...usually an arm, but sometimes my head if that's all she can get to... We've had her over 4 years, but this is something she has just started doing...

I hate leaving Tigger. Our neighbors used to take care of her and our birds when we were out of town, but now my partner's niece comes to stay at our house. It works out well, 'cause she LOVES cats. Still, Tigger still gets mad at me when I return. She meows constantly at me when I get back...

Oh yeah... Miss Tigger follows me everywhere, especially since I returned home from a couple of trips earlier in the summer. She is always underfoot...follows me when I walk in the door, to the bedroom to change my clothes, to the bathroom (!), back to the TV room, and as soon as I sit down...

Ugh....living in Miami, and being a Michigan State alum, I'm not a big fan of slick Nick $aban.....

Dolmades. Can be made with just rice, or a mixture of beef/lamb and rice, and tomatos. The Greeks put an egg/lemon sauce on them, which is really tasty, but the Cypriots typically don't. I'm half Greek, and ate a ton of them growing up. They are a real pain in the ass to make, tho....takes...

Tigger always does this during "lap" time. I have to make sure I'm wearing jeans or some heavy cotton slacks, 'cause she does use her claws....

Somewhat. I let Tigger lick me, and my partner doesn't. He got attacked by a cat he tried to rescue from some dogs when he was a kid, and he is always thinks about that. She is EXTREMELY affectionate with me, and altho she is affectionate with him, I'm the one she follows all around the house...

Tigger goes thru phases where she wants to be outdoors more than in. Currently, however, she's sleeping on our bed right now. I guess she's in her indoor phase now....

Grandparents on my father's side were from Cyprus, and my Grandmother on my mother's side was from Big Stone Gap, VA, and her husband was from the UP of Michigan from a Finnish family...

I am really lucky. Tigger just seems to leave everything alone. She likes the tree, but she really likes it just to hide under, so she has a better hiding spot from which to jump out at us as we're walking by. She doesn't really bother anything. I am blessed.

Miss Tigger is part Siamese, but she is not very vocal. She only mews when she wants to come in during a storm, but otherwise she doesn't vocalize much...

We've been good so far. My tree has been up since Nov 1st (I'm in retail, so I have to get it put up early), and Miss Tigger has only played with the lowest ornament once. She loves sitting underneath the tree and jumping out at us as we walk by, but so far, she has left the tree alone....

Tigger likes to hide under the tree and "pounce" on me when I walk by...
