I just wanted to update that I started both kitties on a diet of grain-free, wet only food and have not had a single loose stool since. I will still try to get a GI panel for him done just to be ultra safe because of the strength of the smell, and will update with results. But thanks everyone...
Sort of. We have gotten into a habit of cleaning immediately after the pooping happens. Which helps keep her away from it. She still has some interest so we just try to get to it before she does. However, there have been days where we don't get to it quite on time but I have not noticed nearly...
Sorry if I was unclear! So the issue is not that he doesn't cover it, because he does, at least partially.. it's just that it never seems to fit Bonny's standards. Either way it doesnt matter because Bonny will always come in and cover it for him, or cover it more if it is already covered.
The...
Not sure if this is the right place to post this...
Biscotti poops but doesnt fully bury or cover his waste. Bonny tries to cover it for him, and almost every time ends up fully stepping in it and needs help to wash it off, she refuses to groom it since it is a lot. Washing it off stresses her...
The many vets that bottle-fed him and kept him safe until we adopted him all agreed that he was a Russian Blue mix. His temperament and characteristics all fit the description, so that is what I am going with.
Like I said, I am not competing with him or anything so I really don't care to prove...
Thank you! 🥰
It is tough to say because he was found abandoned in a building at 1 week of age, and his mom was just gone so they never got to see her. 😿 We are just going with some kind of mix since his littermates were with him, and they were black and tuxedo.
Frankly, I did not care. I...
My kitten is a 4 month old Russian blue. He is very sweet, very energetic, and very cuddly and... a shoulder cat. He absolutely loves to hang out on my shoulders and it's been adorable so far.
Until this morning.
I was getting ready in front of the mirror and he jumped onto my shoulder...
(Sorry for the separate posts, I keep pressing post reply without meaning to!)
Overall, I'd say this introduction has been a success! Now the biggest challenge of all would be to leave them alone on their own. I'll probably start with a few short trips to do laundry or something and then decide...
Since I cant figure out how to attach the video still, here are some pictures of them being adorable. Bonny, the resident cat, is the striped one. Lestat is the all-grey new cat. They still chase each other and sometimes bicker, but I do feel like these past few days of just letting them be has...
Thank you so much everyone that replied! It took a lot of breathing through it and distracting myself with other things but I finally let them just work it out and finally last night we were all able to sleep in the same room! And this morning they were grooming each other! (Kind of..)
Thank you! Today there has been very little to nearly no hissing. Just lots of chasing! They are taking turns and ears are forward which seems to me like a good sign. Sometimes there will be a hiss or two but nothing nearly as crazy or stressful as before. They are still very wary of each other...
