I don’t mean to alarm you, but it’s possible that it could be ringworm, which is contagious to humans. My cat had similar-looking spots, and it turned out to be ringworm. I’d take your kitty to the vet to rule it out.

Thanks so much for the feedback! What brand of kitten food is best? I’m willing to give him a combination of wet and dry if necessary! Saving a few bucks is not worth the health of this sweet little guy.

I’ve just been giving him Meow Mix. Is that bad? My previous cat ate Purina Indoor Formula, but my husband started this guy on Meow Mix because it’s cheaper. I’m probably going to have to stop being a cheapo and upgrade his food!

Yes, if I were you, I would want to know what medical condition was preventing him from walking. It may very well be a permanently debilitating condition, in which case putting him to test may be the best decision, but what if it’s something treatable/temporary?

No, he is not having any trouble breathing. He is not itching or grooming the area excessively, either. He seems completely oblivious to it.

It’s on the inside slightly, but it’s hard to tell whether some of it is just pigmentation, since he is a tuxedo cat. His nose is sort of half black, so it’s hard to differentiate.
