Hi! I recently just joined this forum. I am a college student in NYC so I would love to be apart of this meet up, but all of my cats are at home with my family. So, I wouldn't be able to bring any cats along, but I would still like to meet other cat lovers in the city! Are you still thinking...
Yes, this is all true. We have gotten to the points with my cats that if we get the squirt bottle out and they see it, they will immediately stop doing whatever it is they know they aren't supposed to be doing. When they see the bottle now, they know what is means.
There is no guarantee, but I do believe he will trust you again one day. After all, he is still a kitten and is still learning. I would try not to use your angry voice around him for a while though and instead, put all your focus on to loving, petting, and playing with him. Of course, don't...
Aw, Freddie is so cute! I'm glad he now has a loving home, and you and your girlfriend are enjoying your time with him. Keep us updated on how everything goes, and don't forget to post more pictures! :)
Wow!!! What a beautiful cat. I really wish I could meet him/her! Both coats are very pretty and unique in their own way, but I think I prefer the winter coat. Post more pictures soon if you get a chance! I would love to see them. :)
I'm not there is a way to speed up this process. Sorry, I know that isn't what you want to hear, but I think it would be best if you continue to leave them alone and let them warm up to you again. Best of luck! Keep us updated.
Yes, one of my cats, Bobby, does that to our whole family when he is snuggling with us. I don't mind it. Not exactly sure why he is doing it, but I just take it as his way of showing affection. :)
Hi,
I have two cats at home who suck and paw on our blankets. Does anyone's cats do this as well? Is there a known reason for this? And is there a way to prevent this from happening? Thanks so much for your help in advance!
Hi! Welcome to TCS! I, too, recently joined. :) You're cats are beautiful! I absolutely love their names too! They are just all around adorable. :) Hope to see you around!
I agree with Willowy! I think you should take her and try to let her adapt to living indoors. If that doesn't work, then I would try to figure something else out. But like you said, she is attached to you, and it would be a shame if you didn't at least try! <3 Best of luck to you! Keep us...
I have a cat that is the same way. He loves to snuggle and is very affectionate, but he HATES to be picked up. He has always been this way, and I think that is just the way some cats are. I know that isn't exactly what you want to hear and that isn't very much help, but that is my experience...
It is so hard to lose a beloved part of your family. Take all the time you need to recover. We will be thinking of you here and hoping you return again one day soon. Rest in peace, sweet Jerry.
