Hi. My boyfriend's cat has been having this problem for a little over a year. He scarfs down his food and then promptly throws it up. He eats one cup of food a day, but we only give him about a teaspoon at a time spread throughout the day (which is only working because my boyfriend works from...
What about licking leather, duffel bags, etc? My boyfriend's cat incessantly licks these items. It is very loud and a bit annoying... especially when trying to sleep.
Does this feel good on their tongue or is it nervous behavior?
First, Happy New Year everyone!
As I mentioned in my other thread, Ripley urinated on a piece of the sectional couch I keep in my room (a chair). It has a slipcover and down-wrapped foam cushions. The slipcover should only be dry cleaned, however I put a pet stain/odor remover on it. The stain...
Well, she seem to be doing better. I put the litterbox in my room and she appears to be using it. I haven't noticed any other urine stains yet. I still have to get a black light and look for stains from the dogs that lived her previously. I'll do that next week.
Cheylink, I've been trying not...
Thanks everyone. I'm going to get her to the vet in the next couple of days. Although, I really think she's just acting out.
Hissy, I will definitely try the blacklight idea... much better than me trying to crawl around the floor and smell where she urinated. Plus I'll see if there are any dog...
When my hair is wet my cat will jump on back and attack and bite it. It's kind of amusing, except when she wraps her paws around my neck and squeezes while she's doing it.
I just moved into a house and my cat is now urinating in my bedroom (only place I've found so far, but who knows if it's anywhere else). I'm not sure if she's just nervous about the move, is smelling the previous owner's dogs or possibly has a UTI. She has never in the 4 years I've had her...
I ended up taking Ripley to the vet today. I found a place that other's had heard good things about (I haven't needed a vet since I moved). It's a cat only animal hospital. They needed a stool sample and will get back to me on that tomorrow. In the meantime, I have to give her an antibiotic...
I'm thinking about getting cat insurance for Ripley. There was a flyer at my vet for VPI Pet Insurance (www.petinsurance.com/vca). Does anyone know anything about this company? Or can you recommend another pet insurance?
Thanks!
