Kitten treated 4 times for ringworm but still has them

He does have intestinal worms, but as far as I know, ringworms are both intestinal and skin-related in cats. For people tho they're only rashes.

Kitten treated 4 times for ringworm but still has them

No, all the dewormers have been ones the vet has provided. I can't remember their names right now, though! They were both prescription. One was light-sensitive, and he got two doses of that. I'm honestly convinces now that his hair loss issues are directly related to his ring worm, too.

Kitten treated 4 times for ringworm but still has them

Hey all! My little dude Henry (8 mo) has had a rough ride with gastro-intestinal issues. He's been treated 4 times for worms, and I thought he was finally over it, but he just got sick today and low and behold, still worms. We've treated him with two different dewormers, too. Does anyone know...

Cat Shedding a ton and throwing up hairballs

Yes, he had severe diarrhea and vomiting when he had his vet issue. The only thing that helped him (after being hospitalized) were antibiotics. It really does sound to me from what everyone is saying that it's worth getting an enzyme test or something of the sort from the vet to really figure...

Cat Shedding a ton and throwing up hairballs

Hi! Thanks so much for this info. This seems like it could be very possible. The vet noted that whisker loss was an unusual symptom of allergies, but since all his other symptoms (at the time) were consistent with an allergy, we decided to play it by ear. What causes cats not to be able to...

Cat Shedding a ton and throwing up hairballs

Hey, thanks for the feedback! Henry isn't getting bald spots anywhere else, however his nails are very brittle and I initially called the vet because he was losing an unusual amount of whiskers. Sounds like I need to give the vet a call. I'll ring them on Monday. He also isn't gaining weight...

Cat Shedding a ton and throwing up hairballs

Hey all! I know it's shedding season for our furbabies, but since this is my first one and I had a really big vet scare a month and a half ago due to gastrointestinal issues, I wanted to find out what was normal! Henry has a VERY sensitive stomach and, by extension, very sensitive skin. Since...

Cat Losing Whiskers? Is it normal?

The problem is is that I've already tried that :( he had a really rough time about a month ago and had to be hospitalized because of what turned out to be a bacterial intestinal infection (it was super scary!) Since then, he's been eating prescription hills sensitive stomach and skin wet food. I...

Cat Losing Whiskers? Is it normal?

Hi! My kitty is about 8 months old. He doesn't interact with any other cats, tho he does seem to scratch at his face more often than usual. He's been to the vet many a time and he's been cleared for ear mites, fleas, etc, anything that would cause itching like that. I'm starting to think it...

Cat Losing Whiskers? Is it normal?

Hey all! I've found some whiskers here and there over the past month from my kitty, Henry. I've been finding about 2-3 a week, and to me it does look like there's less on his face. I'm not sure if this should be a concern, or if this is a normal amount of whisker loss?

Cat suddenly started scratching around his food and water dishes

Well! We might just have an answer here. I had a new roommate move in and after acclimating her kitten with mine behind their doors, we started letting them see each other. We recently let them venture into each other's rooms, with supposed success. However, my kitty was clearly at the bottom of...
