1. Kentucky, USA
2. Frontline (to be fair, I left my package in a hot car, but on the other hand, my parents had also had trouble with Frontline for the past few years)
3. Advantage for my cat, Revolution for my mom's (and Comfortis for their dog, if anyone's interested in that information)
HUNTER1, my cat won't take fish oil in her food either. A friend told me about a really good trick she uses. She puts the oil on her cat's paw and he has to lick it off. It works great for my cat. She gets pretty indignant for about five minutes, but she eats fish oil now!
I ordered the Now Lysine when I ran out of caplets. I'm giving some of the powder to a friend who wants to try it for her cat's allergies too. No major changes yet, so if I don't see a bigger reduction in another week or so, I'll try the double dose.
She asked me to say thanks! The little guy has improved a lot, and she thinks it's a combination of things including the L-Lysine. He's more energetic and has gotten his appetite back and passed a lot of worms.
Hi! I have another question about L-Lysine. I have a friend who has a foster kitten who's extremely ill. Here's what she IM'd to me earlier today:
She wants to try L-Lysine to help his immune system, and we were wondering, what's a good dose for a 1lb kitten?
Does anyone know why a cat might do this? It's amusing, not annoying, really, but I'm still wondering why. Astrid has dragged plastic bags, pieces of paper, and once even my favorite panties into her litterbox.
I feed an all-canned diet, and my cat's very picky, and a lot of what she eats only comes in 3oz cans. I hate it! The 5.5oz can is perfect for one day. I just found out that Blue Buffalo is about to release Healthy Gourmet Flaked Salmon Entree in 5.5oz cans, along with some other flavors that...
I buy quality wet food that's cheaper than Friskies, and they still complain. They don't even like bothering to wash the dog and cat bowls (like, EVER). So yeah they won't do that. And making $40 a week (yay for four years of higher education and almost no income), I can't afford to buy them...
My parents still comment all the time on the money I spend on my cat. Sorry, I just don't like her using a mineral litter and licking off the dust, getting heartworms, needing steroid shots, getting urine crystals or diabetes, having flaky skin, having dirty ears...
