    Peeing In The Dog's Water

Thanks for replying, Jem! She's about two, we think, so hopefully she's not arthritic quite yet! We haven't been to the vet about this yet. She doesn't seem distressed when she pees (in the box or otherwise). No crying, no running away when she's done. There is a litter box upstairs and one...

    Peeing In The Dog's Water

We are baffled at how to handle this litter box issue. She always poops in the litter box. She pees there maybe 50% of the time. We use World's Best litter with the Dr Elsey's Cat Attract additive. Sometimes she pees on random spots on the carpet. Lately, though, she's begun peeing in the dog's...

Has anybody tried Honest Kitchen dehydrated food?

The turkey formula is the only food all three of my cats have ever flat out REJECTED. The chicken, on the other hand, everyone liked. Mosey liked it so much he was jumping on the counter trying to eat the dry powder. It's pretty carb-y, though, so it's not something I regularly buy.

    Suddenly won't eat wet food

I usually serve it at room temperature, but I've also tried warming it in the microwave with no success.  I gave him a quarter cup of kibble with a little bit of Weruva and pumpkin over it for lunch today and he ate about 3/4 of it. Maybe we'll just have to start from scratch with transitioning...

    Suddenly won't eat wet food

I love your cats' names! I'll pick up a thing of baby food next time I go grocery shopping. What would you think about giving it a rest for a couple days and giving him kibble for lunch, then trying to reintroduce canned food from a fresh start? Would he be happy for the variety or just hold...

    Suddenly won't eat wet food

More evidence that he's just being a brat:  I put kibble in his regular dish. He ate it. I put a raw egg, a little bit of pumpkin, and some kibble in his steel dish. He ate it. I put some canned food, a tiny bit of pumpkin, and some kibble in his steel dish. He sniffed it, looked at me like I...

    Suddenly won't eat wet food

I haven't tried baby food. Maybe that's worth a shot. I've tried warming it and adding every topper under the sun, but he still won't touch it. As for petting him, he either gets really into being petted or he walks away, so either way he's not eating. :(

    Suddenly won't eat wet food

Thanks for the replies. I've tried serving his food in two different bowls (his usual shallow ceramic one and the shallow stainless steel one for his raw food) and on a saucer plate. Still not interested. He also wouldn't eat the pieces off the floor that fell from the spoon. As for toppers...

    Suddenly won't eat wet food

Sorry if this is too long. I hope it makes sense. I just didn't want to leave anything out. I adopted Meilyr in last June. He's a year old and had only been at the shelter for a couple weeks; before that he was an owned outdoor cat. When I first brought him home, he had a pretty nasty URI, so I...

    looks like Whiskas Purrfectly Chicken

Soulistic is only sold at Petco. Most of the flavors have fish, but there are two or three that don't.

Reintroducing a protein after a reaction?

    Thanks for the suggestions!

Reintroducing a protein after a reaction?

This all brings me back to my original question. Is there a way to reintroduce a protein so that they could eat it without reacting?

Reintroducing a protein after a reaction?

None of them are litter mates. Mosey and Mendel are both two. Mendel is the most sensitive (he also gets skin/paw pad issues in the summer; he's all around delicate, I guess) and throws up everything on the list. Mosey did not have issues with venison or rabbit. We tried the Rad Cat chicken and...

Reintroducing a protein after a reaction?

They ate the food and vomited it back up shortly thereafter. Beef, lamb, and venison were all immediate reactions, like within half an hour of the first time they ever tried those proteins. Rabbit was fine for a while (it was one of their favorites, actually), but then Mendel started throwing up...
