"Will 'chicken flavor' cause an allergy?"
I have wondered this myself...it is my understanding that it's the protein that does it...so chicken, chicken meal, chicken by-products, chicken liver. But chicken fat wouldn't do it because it doesn't contain protein. I'm not sure what...
One of my guys is scratching/ overgrooming right now due to suspected chicken allergy. We're in the process of finding a food that works for him. He is having bad hairballs because of the overgrooming....so my question is, what do you guys suggest I try to help him with the hairballs? I think...
I just got a couple cans each of the Mauri kangaroo and brushtail to try. They liked the kangaroo ok, but the brushtail they really liked. Only thing, it seemed to have a lot of bone pieces in it (they were soft, I could smush them with my fingers). Has anyone else used this food, is this...
Hmm....my guys looove nnc chunky loaf. I just bought a bunch of the turkey and didn't notice anything different. But I haven't bought the chicken in a while.
Totally agree with Ghibli... Sheba is my go-to grocery store/budget food. Low carb, no corn, wheat, soy, carrageenan, or fish in non fish flavors. To me the only thing distinguishing it from more expensive foods is that it does have by-products, but that doesn't really bother me. I stick to the...
On Evo's website, it says some of their foods have a "bold new look". In the fine print, it lists which foods are included, and some of them are the cat formulas. I can't imagine they would go to the trouble of new packaging if they were going to stop making it. Is it possible that Pet Valu is...
I dealt with a similar situation when mine were little. You may want to have the stool tested again-- there are certain parasites that if they don't happen to be at the right point in their life cycle, they don't show up in a fecal. Mine had giardia- first fecal showed nothing, second fecal it...
momof3b1g, I am glad you posted that. My guys love Natural Choice chunky loaf, and that is a great price, especially when you use the "buy 16 get 2 free" box. I just went out and stocked up. Petsmart seemed to have some good sales this weekend.
My guys really like Sheba. I like that they have meat first, and no carrageenan. I got a coupon in the sale papers in the mail for buy 10 get 10 free, so look out for that!
We used this feeder for a while, worked great. You can set the times you want it to feed, and how much. It holds a lot of kibble, so shouldn't be any work for the sitter. We used it on a daily basis, not just when we were away.
I remember seeing this somewhere too. I think it might have been Life's Abundance. I can't find anything on their site that says that but I could have sworn it was them....
