    UTI?

Yes that’s what the medication is. Good idea about a follow up urinalysis. I will definitely talk to our vet about that. The emergency vet said that what was seen was "mild cocci".

    UTI?

She has a uti. They saw bacteria and blood in her urine. She’s now on clavamox for five days and a pain/anti-inflammatory (starts with O?) for three days. They said she should be feeling a lot better in 36-48 hours. She and Toby will be sequestered together where there isn’t any carpet, since...

    UTI?

I posted last week that our four month old kitten, Annie, is having eye issues. I took her to the vet Friday and he prescribed tobramyacin drops, which we’ve been doing. last night we noticed her acting a bit strangely. There was a towel draped over the side of the tub, and she got in the tub...

    Third eyelid….

Oh and there’s no scratch on Annie’s eye, which is fantastic news!

    Third eyelid….

Well we just got back from the vet. Toby’s eye is fine, not red at all. Vet said it could just be the way he was born, with that one third eyelid a little more prominent. Annie got drops for her eye, which was very red. I’m glad I took them! Other than Annie’s eye, he said they both look...

    Third eyelid….

We official adopted two kittens after fostering them for a month. Toby is around 6 months (just got his big boy teeth) and Annie is around 4months. Almost since we brought them home, Toby’s left eye had been showing a bit of the third eyelid. He didn’t seem bothered by it. That eye also has...

Which kitten would you pick based on color only

I voted for the pointed one, only because my best cat ever was a snowshoe and that one reminds me of him. Earlier this month we went to the humane society to meet a white cat with spots and a striped tail. She turned out to be a little bitey, and we came home with a black kitten and a tabby...

    Spay recovery—a question

Sounds like I should just keep her separate from him. I sure don’t want any problems. We may try taking the cone off later this weekend, and trying the onesie I have ready—at least she’d be able to do a little grooming. Also I took her favorite toy (mouse on a wire) in to play with her today and...

    Spay recovery—a question

This was the day we brought them home.

    Spay recovery—a question

Will the kitten onesie protect her incision during a wrestling session? I did make one for her but haven’t out it on her yet because she’s adjusted to the cone. They are very different personalities. Annie was a little slower to warm up, very sweet; and Toby is very outgoing and within a day...

    Spay recovery—a question

We got our two kittens earlier this month. They are “foster to adopt” as the female, Annie, was not yet spayed. She is approximately four months old. Toby is older, I think maybe 5 or even 6 months old. anyway, I took her back to the humane society on Monday for her spay. She is doing...
