Over weight cat with grooming problems

Not sure if you meant to quote me or suzeanna, but in case it was me... yes, I feed them dry in the AM, dry in the PM with a little scoop (around 1 tablespoon) along with the PM dry. If your cat is prone to vomiting due to eating too fast/much, you can space out the wet as a lunchtime snack or...

Over weight cat with grooming problems

Hi Ani! How much dry food are you feeding? My cat was very overweight, and this is the schedule I used: 1/4 cup dry (I used Purina Pro Plan Weight Management) in the morning and at night ~1oz wet food (Pro Plan Weight Management) at night. The vet working with me said that sometimes...

    Yellowish Thing Underneath Cat's Skin??

Hi JennKitty, it looks like that's his nipple! :) Can you show a picture that's a bit more zoomed out to get a better idea of its location? There can be accumulations of dirt/sebum (skin oils) around the harder to reach nipples. As always, a vet visit never hurts and will give you a definitive...

    One Year Later

I have not been active on this site in many years. I started posting as a wide-eyed 17 year old with my first kitten, Scout. I posted again a few years later after I rescued my baby girl, Cally from a tree. Since then, I have moved across the country (again), worked up the ladder in my career...

    Vomiting and abnormal vocalization?

She's doing much better! The vet says everything is fine, and the vomiting was probably just an upset belly. Calypso has an awful habit of going through our trash if her food bowl is empty, so she probably just ate old cat food or something...that's what I get for taking in a feral stray I...

    Vomiting and abnormal vocalization?

Yes, she still reacts well to being petted and still cuddles with me every day. She cuddles and plays with my other cat as well. Is it really possible she's simply becoming more vocal? I read that behavioral changes like that don't normally happen, and there's usually an underlying stressor.

    Vomiting and abnormal vocalization?

She didn't start vomiting until after the wheatgrass, but she does meow softly and she sounds upset when I press on her belly a bit. She was found as a stray and has never really liked being handled much anyway, however. She always vocalizes when she's being held or grabbed when she doesn't want...

    Vomiting and abnormal vocalization?

First of all, yes I am of course taking my cat to the vet. I believe I just need comforted until then, and your answers might help me stay sane! (Humans, so selfish. My baby is sick and I'M the one that needs comforted?) Calypso, my 9-month-old spayed orange tabby, has been acting very strange...

Fur loss and bleeding on cat's face? Please help!

Well, a few weeks later and surprise, it's ringworm. I've been dipping him and my 4 month old kitten and they've been hating me, LOL. Just glad that it's something treatable and nothing serious. Thanks for your help!

Fur loss and bleeding on cat's face? Please help!

Yeah, I was thinking the same. I was so anxious I called the vet almost immediately after I posted this LOL. I'm taking him in today in a few minutes, I will update with what the vet says.

Fur loss and bleeding on cat's face? Please help!

Just today I happened to notice that my beloved cat Scout's face was bleeding. I immediately assumed it was from playing too hard with my kitten Cally as they both have accidentally gotten scratched by each other before. Cally will sometimes do the jackrabbit type kick on him and I figured she...
