My only other thought is she caught some virus while chewy on stuff or drinking puddle water in the garden. But even then, she’s not acting sick? Otherwise idk how she could have contract any external sickness so if it’s sickness it’s her internal health development…
I’m at a loss, really.
@Furballsmom , no i don’t have a cat only vet. We’ve been with our vet for two years now and I generally find them very attentive. Despite moving further away we still go to them. Is a feline only vet gonna really be that much more beneficial?
She’s 4! I just called and made an appt with the vet, for Friday afternoon. I hope they give me some logically answer and not just random cat whisper stuff.
She did have those really high creatinine levels and BUN back at mid/end of June when I lasted posted but the vet did her urine sample and...
Hi there
my cat has lost about 50% of her weight since the start of summer. We don’t have ac and it’s hot in our house even with window opens. Temps indoor are about 80-90°F. She gets outside time about 1-2 hrs a day to roam while we watch a close eye on her in the garden. She is sleeping per...
no she has always eaten a mix of wet and dry- even when I first got her. Some days she eats more wet than dry, other days more dry than wet. Nothing changes between these days, maybe the weather maybe play time- truly hard to tell. However of recent, she’s been eating more dry than wet...
The vet called! Her urine specific gravity was fine, she was/just very dehydrated for the blood panel! They said to come back in 4 weeks and don’t change anything about her diet and routine to ensure it isn’t her food. Weird thing is, she’s been drinking water per usual so idk how she’s...
TLDR- is it common for cats at 4 years old to have stage 3/4 ckd? What about 6 years? I adopted her 2 years ago and they told me she was 2, but maybe they got it wrong and she was really 4. If not, any guesses on what it could be instead? She does not show symptoms of urinary infection. Does not...
what do you mean by slight open holes? Do you think you can share a photo diagram?
My cat scoots but it seems to be a result of similar issue that @FeebysOwner mentioned. She’s only done it a few times over the last 2 years; more so at first but when we put her on myralax it has not occurred as...
Hmmm I don’t think so. There’s less satisfaction to it than bubble wrap, imo. I just always find myself thinking hmmm this is nice after I’m done eating one, it’s almost as if the slowness of it makes me feel better bc of life’s constant business. And each seed forage is “with intention” aka...
Does anyone around here find eating pomegranates, like when you sit down and peel out each seed fruit one by one, super mindful and really calming? I do, and I was just wondering others experience.
When i peel it all at once, not so much the same experience and it’s just like eating any other...
Thanks everyone for your input! We went on our trip and made it back and our cat was totally happy and fine. She was really thrilled to see us and just purred for a long time upon our return. I do have cat cams so I did check up on her during my absence, and she seemed fine during the away. Our...
@valou999 did you ever figure out what the issue was? My cat does this too and I haven’t taken her to the vet about it. She’s done it for a while, originally bc of constipation and she’s now somewhat regular but continues to scoot. Let me know if you ever found anything possible resolution to this.
