Maybe try a harness instead of a collar with a long leash. It's less likely that she could wiggle her way out of one. I had a dog once that always got his snug (2 fingers under) collar right off.

My elderly cat did the same thing a year ago when she was 18 1/2. Second floor window, but over grass, not concrete. The hole was already in the screen but I never imagined it was a cat danger. She is afraid to go outdoors and never tried to get out. She was gone for 2 full days and completely fine.

My 19 1/2 year old will only eat Fancy Feast classic (pate style - will only lick gravy off the shredded or chunked kinds). She will always vomit if given the flavor Cod, Sole and Shrimp. Must be something in that flavor that doesn't agree with her.
