Well, Mauli's appointment was yesterday afternoon.
The vet did some blood tests again and a test for a fungus on the inside of her ears because of the scratching (negative). He seems to think that she is simply suffering from hairballs and that the red tinge is from the dye in the food.
This is so true. My mother's cat ran away on her cross-country move at a rest area.
I traveled from PA to CO with one cat a few years ago, and I agree with everyone here in regards to not worrying about the sedative. My cat cried for about 20 minutes, but stopped after that. She mostly just...
Agreed! I have stepped on Maia's foot while wearing high heels. It still haunts me to think about. I have also, accidentally kicked all 7 of my cats in the neck, head, side, and rear end while they dart in front of me at feeding time.
You are most certainly not alone!
When I first got my second cat, she was full of fleas. She also had tapeworms. I could not afford the flea medication and my cats are both indoors all the time, so if I could just get rid of them, I knew they would be ok.
What I did was, I bought a flea bath shampoo and a flea comb. I also...
She hasn't thrown up for 2 days, but this is generally the cycle. If she doesn't throw up by next week at this time, we will know if the chicken and rice is working!!
Her appointment is Thursday, so we will see what the vet says also!
Thank you for the vibes!! Mauli is sitting here staring up...
I'm not exactly sure what you mean here.
I was feeding her Purina One that the vet recommended, but have been attempting to feed her chicken and rice for the past two days. She doesn't seem to be a huge fan of it, but will eat if I feed it to her off of my finger.
Minka, thanks for that. I...
I know it may not be much consolation right now, but once you have all of them spayed, they may mellow out some. That was the case when we brought the two middle cats into the picture.
It wasn't until we brought in the boy that they all started to dislike each other so much.
I hate to say it, because I know what it has been like to not have the money, but I am terrified for that kitty. I would definitely call the vet tomorrow to see if they can offer you some kind of payment plan. Explain your situation and see if they can do something to help you.
And while I...
Wow, I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.
Is it like actual panting or just a momentary thing? Is it integrated into the meow?
I'm having a hard time picturing what exactly is going on. You will have to let us know what the vet says!
Cats can be really finicky about things - particularly where they do their "business."
My husband and I bought a $400 self-cleaning litter "robot" for our cats because we were tired of all the scooping. Too bad THAT was a wasted purchase, since only 2 of our 7 cats EVER use it.
One cat will not...
I agree with this for sure. Vivi is neutered, but still goes after Neko (who is not spayed). Hormones can do crazy things to cats. However, I know what it's like to be strapped for cash.
So, I would definitely take LDG's advice and hit up the vanilla.
