foster cries when I am in a different room

Apparently she was getting tired of the crate and that's why they gave her to me to stretch her legs. I did try to keep her in the bathroom to help her acclimate when she first came and she cried her head off, so I let her out. She was very comfortable with the space from the first minute so I...

foster cries when I am in a different room

Morning folks, Spots is indeed a night cried and I am once again totally haggard. In desperation I even opened the door to let her in, and she walks right out to the living room and continues meowing. I followed her once in case anything is wrong but she just wanted me to be in the living room...

foster cries when I am in a different room

Should I comfort her? I read online to ignore them when they cry, so I try to wait a minute until they stop before I show myself to them. I ordered some rescue remedy and will give it a try when it gets here.

foster cries when I am in a different room

Sorry to double post, but I thought it was worth flagging that they don't let the fosters out of the crates. They stay in the living room when the coordinator's family retires to the bedroom at night, and apparently they don't cry from the crates. Spots doesn't seem as overly attached as Fluffy...

foster cries when I am in a different room

I tried a Feliway diffuser on Fluffy and it didn't work. I'm not sure if it's because she sits outside my door it that's too far for the diffuser to reach -- I live in a very old apartment and there one outlet per room at most (some of them don't even have outlets, can you believe that?? I asked...

foster cries when I am in a different room

Hello, I am very stressed by my new fosters!! I am an experienced kitten foster -- I've nursed dozens of litters before and socialized babies in my bathroom. I've moved into a new place and while I don't have the energy for the little ones, I thought I could open up my home to an adult cat that...

3 week old kitten not eating

Hi everyone! She used the second box! Her poop was very loose (she probably also got the coccidia too -- she's already on Albon because I've been giving it to everyone) and she has long fur so it got all over her bum. I tried to help wipe it but she got really scared. I kept trying because I was...

3 week old kitten not eating

Update: BB is doing well with the new foster, who gives him lots of attention. Unfortunately, it seems like BB gave at least one of the kittens in my litter coccidia during his short stay here, so we are also giving everyone Albon and Clindamycin and monitoring their weights multiple times a day...

3 week old kitten not eating

Good morning! Thanks for all the quick replies! I think coccidia sounds right, I had a litter of bottle babies last year that got it and they all had coccidia and their pool was pretty similar from what I remember. The rescue has a lot of medicine stocked up and the rescue head did mention...

3 week old kitten not eating

hi everyone! i'm going to try to explain to everyone who kindly replied: - Yes, there is a vet! I have brought BB over to the head of the rescue and she is going to take BB to the vet and take over hand feeding him while treating the diarrhea. We hope that he will eventually be healthy enough...

3 week old kitten not eating

Hi, I am fostering a mom, her three babies, and an extra baby (we'll call him BB for clarity) from another litter. BB was born to another momma and had two siblings, but they all died, so they gave me BB to add to my litter. Prior to being added, he was being hand-fed with a very experienced...
