Feeling bad/having "cognitive dissonance" about having an indoor cat

If you aren't terribly attached to him, I would find him a home in the country. If you can't bear to part with him, get him a friend - make sure its the opposite sex and give them several weeks to warm up to each other.

    Greedy Cat

Thank you for your tips. The 18 Awesome Cat Feeding Tips were insightful! My first attempt to slow him down will be spreading the food on a plate so he will be forced to lick it rather than gulp it.

    Greedy Cat

I have seven cats. Two of them eat anything and everything. One is so crazy hungry all the time, he is like a wild cat at feeding time. I de-worm them from time to time and have done so recently but no changes in him - I feed him in a different room - away from the others. If I pick him and...

    Inflammatory Bowel, Irritable Bowel

I see the last post on cats with IBS was almost 2 years ago. I would like to add my experiences. I have 7 cats and last year my husband brought home some Kirkland brand dry cat food (Kirkland is the Canadian Costco brand - I am not sure if it is the same in the U.S.). After a few weeks, the...

Everybody must read this article and pass on the information. I have 7 cats. They eat canned food for breakfast and are served dry food for the rest of the day. My husband picked up Kirkland brand dry cat food last month. Soon after the diarrhea started. I suspected the new food but did not act...

    Very old cat

Thank you for mentioning that the medication is not expensive - I will give it some thought - I  have 9 animals - I will definitely go to the vet if an animal is in pain, or has something that can be remedied.
