    Spaying 3 year old cat.

I'd also like to add that we got her at 10 weeks, she just turned 3 and in that entire time she's gone on heat maybe 5 times. It could be more, but she's only had the howling and smooching 5 times. Each time lasting no more then 7 days. The last time before now was late August.

    Spaying 3 year old cat.

Wow, so. I have no idea what's going on with her! My partner and I picked her up this afternoon at about 4:30. The vet told us, that she'd be groggy and will want to sleep and to only feed her tiny amounts of food otherwise she may sick. She's done the complete opposite. It's now 10:18 pm...

I just dropped her at the vet then. Surgery is in about an hour. They are very confident in doing it while she is on heat, but said that they'd never spay a dog while on heat. Im sure she's going to be fine, I just worry too much.

    Spaying 3 year old cat.

Hi, I'm not sure if I've posted in the right part but here goes! My cat is 3 years old and tomorrow she's getting spayed, finally. I wish I had of been in the position to have done it when she was younger but she had other health issues that needed my attention and money first...

    Suddenly clingy

Yes she is fixed. She isn't running a temp and the only time she seems upset is when I try to get her to sleep in her own bed which is right by ours. She's mostly an inside cat, I try to let her outside daily for about half an hour but there's no cats around unless of course strays come through...

    Suddenly clingy

My cat is 2 and a half years old. In the last couple of weeks she's turned into this clingy cat who constantly meows and purrs. But, only after 5pm. That's when both my partner and I are home together. At first I just thought she was maturing into a loving cat as from the day we got her she was...

    Blocked salivary gland

Sorry I haven't been able to keep the thread updated! Jekyll is doing great! He's back to he's crazy little self. Unfortunately the vet said that the problem is still there, i.e the lump but it's no where near as big as it was. We're going for another check up in two weeks. Fingers crossed it...

    Blocked salivary gland

Jekyll has had a great afternoon. Apart from the struggle with swallowing he managed to eat almost a full can of wet food (156g). He played in the garden, was very alert looking at all the birds and such. And seems to have he's drooling under control, I've only had to wipe he's face twice...

    Blocked salivary gland

There's been no sign of weight loss yet and he has not been vomiting either. He's definitely having trouble swallowing, but is still managing to eat hes wet food. Just takes him a little longer then usual. He's sleeping patterns have changed, and he's very attached to me at the moment...

    Blocked salivary gland

That's ok Denice, thanks for your reply though. I hope he gets better soon too, but as of now he's still not showing signs of feeling better so I think he'll be having a minor surgery on Monday to have it drained :-(

    Blocked salivary gland

Hi everyone. Yesterday I took my cat into the vet as he had been drooling a fair bit over the weekend and had barely eaten. I had to leave him there so the vet could get a second opinion. Upon picking him back up i was told that he has a blocked salivary gland. And that there is a large lump...

    Cat bitten by something.

Firstly I'd just like to note that I have contacted a vet. Unfortunately my local one doesn't run an after hours clinic so I was referred to another. They will not see me unless I pay the after hours consultation which is around $237, sadly with too many people promising to pay and never...

    Swapping to Hills z/d

Thanks for the advise, I'll definitely do a slow change over to make sure Jekyll doesn't get sick. I understand that they do better on wet food it's just my vet has given specific orders to keep him on a dry food diet only. I'd love to give him wet food, money is not an issue. I'll definitely...

    Swapping to Hills z/d

My cat is on Royal Canins Hypoallergenic biscuits. He's been having them for about a year now and we've recently been to the vet because he's breaking out in scabs again which is what happens when he doesn't have he's prescription biscuits. Now the vet seems to think he's developed an allergy...

    Bonjela - Teething gel.

Hi everyone. I was just wondering if anyone else has been told that bonjela helps to sooth the pain of mouth ulcers on a cat. Tonight Jekyll was taken to the vet about he's scabs flaring up due to he's food allergies and we found that he's formed ulcers again all over he's tounge. He was given...
