Fleas and tapeworms are two very different types of parasites but both need to be dealt with with medication from a vet and a thourough cleaning of the house for fleas. I would still recommend individual feeders that unlock via a tag or microchip on a particular pet. this will keep each cat on...
Are there any other behavioural changes? or is it just the physical shape of the whiskers that are concerning you? Are they curving down 100% of the time?
You should have 1 more litterbox than cats that are spaced out around the house and deffinitly one on every floor ( would you want to always go downstairs to use the bathroom?) I do understand not wanting it in the bedroom so perhaps putting it in another room on that floor or atleast investing...
Hi! Props for saving a life!
For the food question I would recommend any high quality brand, my top 2 preferences are Royal Canin and Iams in whichever weight loss/ management formula that they offer. (Hills and Purina are the other two top brands I would recommend).
As for the "catkins" diet...
Your collar should be break away, if its not and the cat gets out, it runs the risk of getting caught on something and choke itself.
I have also heard stories of the pet tags getting caught in small spaces ( the space between deck boards or in a floor vent) so I would recommend a plate tag...
Its likely that the box is just too small (most boxes are). If your cat isnt having any other issues, its likely the problem.
Ideally, the box is 1.5 time the length of the cat from nose to tailbase. I would just get a bigger box and if it remains an issue look into alternative litter options
When was the followup visit in relation to the tapering of the meds? Was it just after you were completely done the treatment? A couple weeks? Does the vet know it is still a concern for you?
If your still concerned you can measure his water intake vs urine output to show the vet. After 2...
Not all cats respond to cat nip. I think to accurately say either way would be a long process of studying many cats and their reactions to catnip pre and post sterilization. Its more of a preference than anything else I believe, I have one cat who goes nuts over it and the other just doesn't care
My best guess is that shes pregnant. Now you have to ask yourself if you really want kittens, its more mouths to feed, more vet bills, more mess and more work, even if you decide to sell/give away the kittens (but thats a whole other topic). I'm not saying that its not worth it but you need to...
The easiest way to differentiate between a fat cat and a pregnant cat (without a vet) is where the weight is. If she has a heavier belly but you can still easily feel her ribs and spine shes prob pregnant. It is easier to determine with the cat standing and taking a top view and a side view...
Look into high calorie pastes, not sure if thats something youd be willing to feed, but its worth a look. Theyre often used on cats that are anorexic to give them some sort of energy
kittens should be fed kitten food until they are a year old, im wary of "all-life-stages" foods as kittens have different nutritional requirements than adults and i always recommend Royal Canin, Iams, and Purina as the top brands to go for in what ever dry/wet combo that you prefer
heres a list of dental products from food, treats, water additives and toothpastes for maintnence of kitty teeth

I would try to reintroduce the cats again, more slowly this time to make sure that there is no negative reaction.
you should have 1 more litter box than cats and you can use a uv light to see if there is any urine outside the litterbox and clean it with an enzymatic cleaner
Hope this helps!!
Play with him as late as possible in the evening, cats are multiwinded so play him out a few times then feed him and go to bed. as stated in other posts, ignore him during the night (if you give in even once it will make the problem worse)
