I have watched her over the last week, and I just think Thermos is happier being able to leave and come back as She pleases. She jumps off our 2nd floor balcony and is able to jump back in. I work nights so, yesterday Thermos left around 8 PM and jumped back up at about 4:30 while I was...
With summer here Thermos now keeps escaping our ground level apartment pretty regularly in the last week always between 9-11:30 PM.
We have three cats, and have started putting the litter box on the patio. My Girlfriends two cats are used to this and live in fear of the outdoors past the...
Thermose has learned not too sleep on my body, I think I thrash around too much, she sits on the floor or the corners of the bed. If I leave the door closed, she will claw at the rug through a small opening under the door. If I wake up late past 11 PM for work she gets a little more aggressive...
Thermose pretty much only Meows when I come home or when I wake up for work. I liked the thought that Olly was doing the talking, makes sense too me, and I am somewhat jealous that Ozzy doesn't Meow. You probably don't need to worry either way, if Ozzy has an issue one of the two will certainly...
I am also a new Cat carer (less than 6 months). Thermose has been indoor cat only so far. I stopped considering her boredome after none of the expensive toys worked to entertain her. What I have discovered for me/Thermose is that cats don't need as much attention as I am trying to push on...
Well so far I have bought a bunch of stuff from the Dollar Store, that didn't work so I stepped up to PetSmart. Bought a National Geographic wand thingy, and an electric toy that shoots a feather tail out of various holes at random. Everything has been a "meh I don't care", just rub my belly...
In response to imaginewizard (wasn't sure how else to this).
So a few things when I took Thermose in I just instantly gave her free reign in the apartment. I was a little nervous returning home every morning over the first few days (I work graveyards), but my furniture is pretty meek so not a...
Hey,
Thermose reacts to very little stimulation, but if I flick a plastic grocery bag with my wrist she freaks out. Anyone know why?
Nothing else makes her react this way (at least yet that I've found).
Jason
As a new cat carer, I actually thought Thermose would be really distant (perfect for me), however, she wants constant attention when I am home. We've been together about 3 months now and have found a rhythm that I like. I give Thermose some attention and belly rubs (she presents and won't stop...
Yeah Thermose, sleeps in the bed with me too. My sleep is eratic (working graveyard), and I move around a lot, she seems to have adjusted though. She stays near the front door when I am home, unless she wants rub downs, and is always at my bedroom door when I come home.
Cool to hear other cat...
Hi,
Just curious, Thermose has various sitting spots. One is on the floor carpet at the entrance to my apartment, the other is the bedroom (also carpeted).
When I am home, Thermose (when not wanting attention) is on the doorway rug, when I come home from work she's in the bedroom area.
Great! Thank you both, I was leaning that way already. Just always seeking some feedback or different members experineces. I like my Vet, and trust her on this related issue. I will just put away money every month, then at least I have more leeway instead of submitting claims and riffling...
Hi everyone,
I am considering Inusrance for Thermose, but I have reservations. As a new buyer/cat carer the premium seems high and the $200 deductible is not great. Plus what is covered seems meek, I know I am comparing Human to Pets (I used to be in Finance).
I got a quote from TruPanion...
Hi, Thanks for the reply. Yeah my guy has free range in my small apartment (11th floor with large windows), but just doesn't seem very curious at least when I am home. She has no interest in balls, scratchers, catnip fill stuffies, wand toys etc. Eventually I will find something. Because I...
Thanks, it seems like consensus is that wet is better. The meat tip will help make a choice on my next run. I have tried Catnip Thermose seems to have little interest in it. She likes watching bird videos on my computer and the laser games, but these seem kind of "cruel" (maybe not the right...
