I got back on the 9th to get the last round of vaccines and rabies for the newbie. I am going to ask my vet what she thinks about the risk of the two older cats. I lived in a different apartment during the first ringworm outbreak, so I don't think it was environmental for the kitten, and since...
I feel as though I've dealt with my fair share of ringworm in my lifetime! LOL
Back Story: 3 years ago I got a kitten from my parents. They had a stray cat come into their yard pregnant and give birth. They kept most the litter and the mom, and yes they vetted them all. I had one cat...
Same, When I first got cats I fed them Cat Chow and then as I starting reading more on cat health I attempted to put them on some grain-free types foods - but they wouldn't have it and are on cat chow to this day. I know it's a junk cat food but it's so hard to make them change.
WELL... my cats use to not even be bothered by storms but back in March we had a tornado (very small F0) come down my road and right outside my apartment. I live in a historic building and below is a bar, and all the patio furniture got throw up and a window blown out across the street, I saw...
Well I got some amazing news today! Raven got adopted!! Since I was so on the fence we were waiting to see if anyone had any interest and she found her furever home! I am so happy for her and her new family!
I have litter trays inside what looks like a side table, they have an opening on the side the cats go in and out of, and they look nice. Maybe if the appearance doesn't look like litter tray it might help? I don't have a very good picture of mine, but in the photo below you can see it sorta...
My mom actually had a bissell Steam cleaner, i think it was the Pro Heat, looked sorta like a bigger vacuum and had some attachments for furniture. Worked pretty well!
No problem! I didn't have hardwoods at the time, just tile/laminate the bleach did fine. But because of my past experience with ringworm and my fear of it just being anywhere when I moved into my new place (just a couple months ago) with hardwoods I got a steam mop, and I read that the heat...
Both my cats got ringworm a couple years back, I only notice cause the skin looked a bit red/crusty but didn't really look so severely red as your pictures. My other cat's looked just sort of scabby/crusty but not red at all. Neither fully lost fur, just very crusty, so maybe the appearance...
I second a steam mop if it's hardwood floors. I had a similar situation 2 years ago and that's how I disinfected, and now I just do a steam clean every month so it was worth the money to get it!
My cat Meeko is the master of cuddles! I wanted to see other cats that were super cuddly too! My other Cat Nausicaa isn't so much the cuddler, so I have both sides of the spectrum with my cats!
