I was mixing some pine pellets in with the litter and they weren't using that littler box. They would sniff it but wouldn't use it. I'm going to get some of the Stall Dry next time I go to town. I see our local Tractor Supply store carries it. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have a couple of litter boxes in the garage for the ferals/outdoor cats and kittens. It's where the food is also. What is something I could use to cut down on the odor? Now that it is getting colder out they use the litter boxes more often. I've been using clumping litter and scoop every day.

There is about 10 ferals/outdoor cats here. Does anyone have suggestions on how I could deworm and possibly treat for fleas these cats? Most of them I can't get close to. Is there an option to the liquid dewormers? Thanks for any tips.

So here's an update. The raccoon kept coming in looking for food but was not able to get on top of the freezer. The cats were able to get up there as well as the kittens. The dirty bugger came back last nite and cleaned out the cat dishes. I don't have a live trap so I would have to see about getting one. I also don't have peanut butter. Do cats like peanut butter? I'm concerned about trapping one of the feral cats instead of the raccoon?

Since he was there only once the other nite and not at all last nite would it be safe to leave the food down on the floor tonite? I just hate for the baby kitties not having food all nite.

We own 110 acres here, all rural area, so plenty of places to release him if need be. Hopefully he won't come back.

Happy to report NO raccoon last nite. Hopefully he has moved on.
