Thank you! I totally agree. I hope this surgery is curative. The referral vet did not give me much hope though even though NCState suggested amputation. (They also suggested chemo to make doubly sure all the cancer was removed.) There were no other lesions noted on xray and no lymph nodes...

Oreo is back home but not quite himself yet due to pain meds. Thank you to those of you who follow and comment. It really helps to know someone cares.

Oreo is out of surgery. All went well so far. He is still dazed and shivering off the effects of anesthesia.

It's osteosarcoma. He will have his leg amputated tomorrow morning. Prayers please.

Oreo's procedure is finished and he's sitting up looking around but still groggy and getting IV fluids. He'll be ready to come home by 2pm.
