    Kidney disease low phosphorus

@lisahe Artemis gets fed canned or raw, depending on what she wants to eat that day. Canned is mostly weruva with instinct LID or pure protein thrown in - chicken, turkey, or rabbit. Raw is instinct (chicken or rabbit) or primal (chicken, turkey, or venison).

Thanks. I’m def. going to use their support site because Artemis is already eating low phosphorus foods with not to high not too low protein but I guess I’ll have to switch to therapeutic??

    Kidney disease low phosphorus

I honestly could be bad at searching, but I’m on my cell and I’m having problems finding it if anyone could point me in the direction. I’m trying to figure out phosphorus content for a cat with kidney disease. What’s a good percent to stay under (as fed and as dry matter) and how do you...

    Gma’s cat, just want opinion/ I’m curious

Unfortunatly it’s not my cat and my gma refuses to find a second opinion. I would take him myself but I already have a problem child on my hands.

Artemis not quite sure about new fountain..

Artie doesn’t drink too much water because she’s on an all moist diet so this contraption is a bit confusing to her lol

Cat hind leg paralysis after stroke

I unfortunately don’t have any advice. When my cat developed saddle thrombosis she was already in complete heart failure, and did not make it. As I see it you are doing the absolute best you can and are giving him lots of love. I wish you luck and prayers.

    Itchy Cat...serious scratching issues

Mange can cause restlessness, intense itching and frantic scratching. But it could also be a number of other things. And a vet doesn’t have to completely sedate her. If they are telling you to put her completely under without other options, that’s a warning flag - cats really don’t need to go...

    Itchy Cat...serious scratching issues

Could be mange, allergies, dry skin. I would try to find another vet to get a second opinion. Itching to the point of breaking skin is something to be taken seriously.

    Gma’s cat, just want opinion/ I’m curious

No. I asked my gma how Charlie (the cat) was doing since I was visiting and she said he was having a rough time and I asked about his diet and weight, and her vet said he wanted to keep Charlie at his current weight. @fionasmom he’s 10 or 11 I think. I know he’s not super old but he’s older.

    Gma’s cat, just want opinion/ I’m curious

Gma’s cat is a smaller sized cat (when she first got him from the shelter, he looked like an American shorthair but his legs were shorter) but is overweight at 19-20 pounds and has type 2 diabetes (he has had no signs of weight loss, has been that weight for about three years now). He has to...

Pioneer Pet vs Drinkwell Water Fountain

I saw that one too. And while I like the style and don’t mind using plastic sometimes, my one cat is allergic to plastic. If they make something similar with stainless steal I’d totally would get it.

Pioneer Pet vs Drinkwell Water Fountain

I’m looking at both the pioneer pet teardrop and the drinkwell 360. The pioneer comes in either 60 oz or 96 oz while the drinkwell is a gallon. Both are stainless steel. I’ve had a pioneer in the past, but not the teardrop. Has anyone had it, or the drinkwell? Thoughts?

    Otter In Mourning

Before I do the full post I wanted to say two things: 1) I cannot to any major construction on the house 2) For those who know my cats, Kaylee unfortunately passed away from complication from HCM. On July 21st, Kaylee unexpectucally passed away from complications from HCM. Otter was her...

    Getting Apixaban (eliquis)

Actually $169 for 60 is great, though I’m seeing that those pills can’t be split and I need to do that. $110 is for 15 pills only through goodrx. Thanks for the tips!

    Getting Apixaban (eliquis)

minus goodrx and the vet themselves, does anyone know where I might be able to get it for a decent price? So far the cheapest I’ve found is $110. Edit: that $110 is for 15 pills, which will need split into quarters to last a month.
