My 20 YO gets subQ fluids, and for a time, the vet had me add a vit B injectable to her fluid. Perhaps you might ask the vet if specific vitamins would be beneficial, you can do that at home rather than bringing her to the vet each week.
Cats need primarily protein, but also other nutrients. A...
My little princess, has been awful about eating, it's something different every day. I'd hate to put meds in her food and then have to throw away not only food, but the medication.
Pretty close, sorry for the confusion, it's tough to figure out how much to write without boring the reader! And I'm new to this allergy issue
Augie would eat anything at all, but I'm assuming because of his skin condition/food allergy it should be limited to one meat source. I really had to be...
That's fantastic! And only $18.00! The vet gave me prefilled syringes of Dexamethasone rather then the Prednisolone, as it lasts longer, ,1 inj every 3 days. But $40 for 8 syringes....I was hoping for a vial, I know tht would be much cheaper. She gets it tonight, I'll see how she reacts to the...
The dog (Augie) has food allergies, we've had him on Royal Canin, Hydrolyzed protein:Venison, now he's cleared up, and I need to start feeding him "real" food.
-Chicken seems to be a culprit, also, had1 milkbone and got hot spots.
One ancient cat (Little Bits) with Kidney disease, needs low...
Thanks, I thought it only went up to 5mg for the whole pen, but I re-read the site & looks like it's per twist! That'd be great! Do you know (ballpark) what the cost was? I can't get the price until I have the script. Between 2 cats with issues and a dog with skin/food allergies, the paycheck...
Is Bonito flake just a flake fish food? She is a chewer, doesn't swallow whole unfortunately!
From what I read on the "pens" the dosage is way too small. Looked like a whoole pen is 5mg & she gets that daily. I give her an appetite stimulant that way. Thanks!
Thank you, this little miss priss turns her nose up at #3 & #4, but I never tired baby food! I think the pill tastes so bad that she knows it as soon as she gets a tiny scent of it. Thank you!
I just posted about my cat, she's been on Prednisolone for a year (5 mg daily) and now HATeS taking it. Do you have any tricks? Our option was to put her down, or keep her on this, like you I argued and she's been great for a year. If her kidneys go, oh well, we had another year with her!
I have a 10 year old cat, who was always healthy. Last year, for a week or so, she didn't feel well, barely ate, stayed in her room, lost weight, but was still social when I'd go to her room. She started walking with a tilt, as if she was dizzy (I thought ear infection), and then she would...
