Long story short, Monet was diagnosed with Hyperthyroid. He's nearly 15 years old. The vet put him on medication and his recent blood results shows he's in range. However, he lost some weight in the past 3 weeks. he's now 8.5 lbs. Always been a lean cat.
The vet thinks maybe (something) valve...

gotta make sure it's safe for whatever bowl you are using.
There's also regular chicken waterers that's heated that might work too?
he’s back to himself this morning. I hated seeing him so not himself, stumbling into his water dish and sleeping weird. Thankfully it wore off! Sorry for being paranoid, first time giving him this drug and it scared me.
he ate the pill without issue (of course he'd eat anything i put before him). The vet said 2 hours before visit, I wasn't comfortable with stepping out of their advice especially when I don't know how the meds would affect him. If there's a next time, I will do it sooner as well as two dosages...

I considered it, but he'd hiss and growl at anyone that tries to touch him in his own home too. I feel like at a vet he'd have less places to hide and can't run
that is scary! The doctor said he would be out of it for a few hours. I’m glad she’s alright after that!
I’m taking him in for a checkup since it’s been about 5 years since his last checkup. I’m worried he might have hyperthyroidism with how recently he’s constantly looking and begging for...
Hi all! Been a while. Hope everyone is doing well!
Monet is terrible at the vets. He turns aggressive and no vet can handle him. Took me a few vets to find one that was willing to prescribe Gabapentin to help his anxiety and sedate him a bit before the visit. No one wants to sedate him without...
