Dropped off the urine for the other cat and mentioned the limping, but I have not heard back. I at least wanted to confirm which leg. I should've paid better attention I guess, my memory is terrible. Yesterday the limping seemed to stop but he was extra needy for cuddles all night. Today he...
Thank you. He already lost sight in the eye and it collapsed. He's my first with any kind of issues, so I had no idea and misunderstood that the shelter had already handled it. He's used to being half blind, but of course I'm worried about putting him through another ordeal but it seems like it...
I posted recently about my not so one eyed cat the other day and going to a new vet, since are usual passed away.
Both cats went on Friday afternoonfor a first visit/ yearly exam and vaccines. The previous clinic did not send over their records in time for the appointment but they had told me...
Thanks for sharing. It does look similar to my boy, and he does clean himself. Did you notice her acting like it bothered her at all, or was it just the discharge?
I managed to get a hold of the shelter he came from and they sent me his records- he did see an opthomologist at the time and they...
My boy does get brownish discharge, no blood unless that's what's making it brown. It can collect around his eye and look almost black. Used to gum up his eyelids almost shut, so I would clean him, but he's been doing a good job of that for himself lately.
You've given me a lot to think about...
O wow, thanks for the link.. I will definitely have to read up on that.
Is your kitty's eye sealed shut? Can you tell me a little about your experience with the process and/ or what led up to his removal?
Really appreciate everyone's input. Honestly, it's frustrating that this cat has been...
That is my concern, that I could somehow be wrong about him not having discomfort. But he eats, plays, he's doesn't rub at the area, and he doesn't react when I touch his face (unless it's with a damp cloth, because he hates getting wet).
I think he'd adjust just fine if it were closed; he's...
Hi everyone. It's been awhile since I last posted, but I have a new situation at hand that I need some help deciding how to best proceed.
A little bit of backstory - one of my cats that I had adopted from a shelter has an ulcerated eye stye to illness when he was a kitten. I adopted him with...
I hope so. He's been through so much as a kitten before I adopted him and my other cat is so attached. I got them not long after my old man pass (profile pic) and this incident totally triggered me with those feelings of loss. And he's so young.
Thank you for the links and tips. I haven't seen him drink yet and nothing I'm doing is working. He's went to pee multiple times today (very small amounts) and had one small bowel movement. He did eat some of a different flavor today which is good but tonight he's gone back to isolating. He's...
They do like to lick tuna water, but I've been scared to give him anything without knowing if it was safe. I never tried adding it to his water but if it can work that would be great.
I'll have to check out the local pet store to see if I can get a small amount of those brands to try. Usually...
You never think it'll happen to you, until it does. This last weekend was my first ever trip to the emergency vet due to urinary blockage. I apparently caught it in the earlier stages and he is currently back at home recovering but, he will need a lifetime of management.
I thought I was doing a...
