Loco Went To Vet Today, Now Stealth Doesn't Recognize... Hissing, Growling

THanks for sharing Yanaka. Hope it passes soon. Wish I could be home today to supervise. Maybe just as well that I’m not there. Sometimes cats work thru their issues better without their guardians present. I’ll see them at lunch tho.

Comment by 'debl58' in article 'How To Deal With Non-recognition Aggression In Cats'

We are going through this right now. Wish I had known this was a “thing” before taking the one cat to vet. I would have just taken both of them and avoided this nastiness. But at least I know now and hope the one that was left at home “wakes” up and realizes Loco is her baby brother she’s...

Loco Went To Vet Today, Now Stealth Doesn't Recognize... Hissing, Growling

It’s been overnight now and no change. Stealth started out in bed with me but Loco came up and she split after hissing a bunch. I have to go to work. Hope they’ll be ok while I’m gone. I’ll come home at lunch to check on them. I only have one litter box so can’t separate the cats for too...

Loco Went To Vet Today, Now Stealth Doesn't Recognize... Hissing, Growling

Thanks so much for the idea. I tried it... we’ll see what happens. So far just a stare down from across the room. So weird. Been together for all these years and she forgets him after a few hours away and cuz he looks a bit dif and smells a bit dif. Crazy life of cats lol !

Loco Went To Vet Today, Now Stealth Doesn't Recognize... Hissing, Growling

You guys helped me out many times, and now I need you again. Loco was dehydrated, feverish, etc. Probably a resp inf. Vet put this bag thing filled with saline under his skin that dissolves in time. Made him look real fat, and of course b'cause he's sick, he's not moving around too quick...

    Had to Change Litter Brand

I just called them weevils. Don't know what they were. Small (tiny) brown, slow moving. Fresh Step is unscented.

    Had to Change Litter Brand

I was using Worlds Best Cat Litter for about 6 years.  I swore by that stuff.  First my adoptee Stealth, then new kid Loco used this litter.  It is/was great stuff.  I liked the thought of using a natural litter.  Well, not now !!  I bought a bag of the Multi Cat formula and two bags of the...

Question about "age group" cat food...

Thanks so much!! I would have returned, except I didn't notice until I was opening :(. And I did look at ingredients on bag. Look very similar. A fewer calories won't hurt these beasts for sure ! But since I've been using (just a couple days) they seem a little hungrier. Maybe I'll give an...

Question about "age group" cat food...

Hi, I've had my two on Hills Scince Diet since I adopted. The girl is 3 and the boy is 2. Ya know that moment when you grab that thing at the store that you wanted, then you get home and it's not at all what you thought you bought? Well it happened to me. I got Hills, but I accidentally...

    YOWLING AT BEDTIME

Hi Frieda, yes Stealth Spayed, Loco neutered. MnM, very sorry for your loss. I try to be understanding of this yowling thing, but it's like she knows the exact second I start to doze off and then she starts. Like I said usually I can call her name and she runs up into the bed and settles...

    YOWLING AT BEDTIME

I think so too in Stealths case. Nice to know I'm not the only one going thru this. I'm gonna try some before bed hearty play time too. And I've started giving them a bedtime small meal too. Maybe hearty play, then small meal before bed might help her settle down.
